Switching loss reduction in the switch-mode supplies
Vašíček, Adam ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
The master's thesis covers in its first parts origins and consequnces of the switching losses, basic principles of the various resonant tanks and resonant DC/DC converters. Afterwards the innovative approach of the multiperiod modulation is presented. The main advantages of this kind of modulation include very wide zero current switching region and lowering the switching frequency as the output voltage decreases. In the remaining part of the thesis a prototype converter design is described.
Design of a lightweight manipulator for a robotic arm
Eim, Jakub ; Ržonca, Michal (referee) ; Vaverka, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis describes the design and manufacturing process of a lightweight and modular manipulator for Scara robotic arms made by Epson. The review part is focused on currently used heavy manipulators and contemporary possibilities of connecting carbon fibre profiles. The practical part of the thesis aims on deliberation about geometry of the manipulator assembly using FEM (Finite element method) and the manufacturing of the assembly. The thesis concludes with a comparison between the currently used heavyweight and the new manipulator assembly. The weight of the assembly has been reduced by 56 % while maintaining sufficient firmness. In the appendix are included CAD (Computer-aided design) files, technical drawings of individual parts and photodocumentaries of the whole process.
Mass Reduction of 4-cylinder In-line CI-engine Con-rod
Zatloukal, Lukáš ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis applies to the light-weight itself of a connecting rod of a mass-produced tractor-engine. As a one of the most important and first part of this task is creating a 3D simulation model of a connecting rod. The strenght calculation is following skip factor of the light-weight, the exact calculated dimension of relieve is providing by means of an engine imbalance including the connecting rod. The outcome data of research are instrumental to the new relieve and strengthen 3D design. The conclusion and ending point of the diploma thesis evaluate results.
CI-engine Piston
Tatíček, Marek ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with completion of the calculation FEM stress analysis of current type of CI - engine piston construction. Then it deals with design of new types of CI - engine piston construction including of their stress analysis. Analysis of advantages and disadvantages of single types of construction is made on the basis of results comparison.

The influence of individual orthoses on ulcer healing in diabetic foot syndrome
Kalošová, Tereza ; Šolc, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Mikšíčková, Petra (referee)
Title: The influence of individual orthoses on ulcer healing in diabetic foot syndrome Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of individual braces and confirm or refute the suitability of these tools for diabetics with diabetic foot syndrome on the basis of statistical evaluation. Methods: This study is a theoretical and empirical, quantitative research was used in the form of a retrospective monitoring during treatment of patients with individual orthoses. Further observations conducted participated. Participated observation was made as a collaboration with orthotics, from which he was readmitted systematically collected data for statistical processing and ran with it professional consultation. It is an analysis of the data for the period of one year (2013) and their comparison. I used data from a file made of 32 patients using individual brace. Age and gender were not her concern. Results: The aim of this work was to gather feedback for doctors and orthotics, who are dedicated to patients with diabetic foot syndrome and defects in them. An effort was made on a sample of patients to determine whether it is effective to prescribe and create these patients individual orthoses that will improve healing in them. This is due to statistical evaluation of data provided...
Paper, pencil and dad, mom
Bartošová, Michaela ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Raudenský, Martin (referee)
TITLE: Paper, pencil and father, mother AUTHOR: Michaela Bartošová, Bc. DEPARTMENT: Department of art education SUPERVISOR: MgA. Jan Pfeiffer ABSTRACT: The diploma thesis examines different forms of humor through the eyes of selected theorists, artists or myself. It highlights the importance of humor in both life and teaching. Humor is seen as a tool, providing choice. It allows asking questions indirectly, it helps relieving the pressure or stress and develops creativity. It disrupts too serious social structures and thus revives itself. The objective of this thesis to defend the positive impact of humor on society, family, and teaching. I started thinking more about humor when I moved from my family. I missed its humor so much, and I realized, how important factor in life it is. This created an installation that captures family atmosphere, in which humor naturally arises. I reflect my relationship with my family, that has always been my big inspiration. At the very beginning, there were drawings from my diary captured in Prague, from my time when I was away from my home. Subsequently, audios recorded during family lunches. Nobody knew about them, so in the final version of the video installation I give a true picture of humor in my home. Pedagogical use presents class proposals which intentionally use...
