This thesis is about design and implementation of a web application called Personal Starting Page. The application allows users to create a homepage with links and RSS resources that are systematically classified into categories. The thesis also focuses on responsive design, accessibility and manageability through mobile phones, tablets and computers. The application uses technologies such as PHP 5, Nette framework, jQuery and Bootstrap framework. The result of this thesis is a fully functional web application that is available on the www.jdinaweb.cz website.

Religion in the United Nations Security Council

This thesis deals with the occurrence of terms with religious significance in the meeting records of the United Nations Security Council. Religion manifests itself in the private and public spheres, in which it also intervenes in political and international affairs. As it is also present in various forms in the United Nations, the thesis aims to find out whether religion is also manifest in the Security Council and, if so, in what forms and contexts. It also tries to find an answer to the question if there was a temporary increase in the number of mentions of religion after 2001. In addition to the literature, the thesis is based on the analysis of Security Council meetings, that took place in the period 1996- 2006. A dataset was created consisting of ¼ of the meetings for the given period, which means 550 records out of a total of 1 998. Through the analysis of these documents, the thesis focuses not only on the number of religious expressions and their form, but also on the possible causes that may affect their presence. Primarily, it is the thematic focus of the UNSC meeting, which is treated as the main factor in the occurrence of references to religion. Characteristic of ESP written communication

Cílem této bakalářské práce je definovat, co je to angličtina pro specifické účely, vymezit její styly a žánry. Tato práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. V první části je stručně představen anglický jazyk pro specifické účely a jeho historie. Jsou zde přiblíženy styly tohoto jazyka a je vysvětleno jejich použití. Ve druhé části jsem definoval žánry tohoto jazyka, vysvětlil účel každého z nich a ukázal, jak se dále dělí. Ve třetí části jsou prezentovány části textů, jež jsou analyzovány a porovnány: dva texty z elektrotechniky a dva texty z medicíny. V obou oblastech je porovnáván úryvek z populárně vědeckého článku a učebnice. Analýza je provedena ve čtyřech kategoriích: koheze, deixe, signposting a hedge. Tyto výsledky jsou porovnány nejdříve ve stejném oboru mezi rozlišnými styly a následně mezi odlišnými obory – elektrotechnika a medicína. Všechny výsledky jsou komentovány.

Community website optimization for search engine

The bachelor work focuses on the problem of optimizing websites for search engines, which is currently very actual problem. It provides a comprehensive look at the process that will help us to better positions in the rankings of the most commonly used search engines and also helps us determine how those most widely used search engines work. In the theoretical part we discuss the various authorized and unauthorized modifications including optimization of the site outside the source code. In the practical part is analyzed different types of Web sites which using a lots of SEO tools. This can help us to know the difference in approaches in optimalization. Concurrently this analysis provide an overview of indicators, which is good to observe and way how this values find.
