Tram Network for New Brno City Masterplan
Grishchuk, Dmitrii ; Seitl, Jan (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the planning of routes and their operating parameters for the tram network in the new Brno city masterplan. The work evaluates operational and capital expenses that are bound up with running and further expanding of the tram system. The numbers of inhabitants and jobs included in 300-meter zones around tram stops were assessed. The calculated values are compared with the current situation. Based on the results, a suitable composition of the vehicle fleet and the order in which new tracks should be constructed is recommended. Further measures are proposed to improve coverage of city territories by the tram system, especially construction of tram ways to other densely populated areas of Brno and the organization of selected transfer points
Safety assessment of operator activities for WHN 13 CNC horizontal boring machine
Nohavica, Radek ; Blecha, Radim (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
The diploma’s thesis deals with the current state of requirements for products resulting from directives of the European Parliament and the European Council. The aim of the thesis is a system analysis of the issue, proposal and justification of the chosen procedure for solving the objectives. Furthermore, the analysis of requirements of current standards and safety analysis related to the work of machine operators in the areas of operation, service and maintenance of horizontal boring machine WHN 13 CNC. The analysis is followed by a proposal for preventive measures for hazards where the value of risks and criticality is unacceptable, leading to their reduction.
Rail Safety device applied in railroad station
BÁRTA, Jan
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a basic overview of station security equipment used in the Czech railway network. The bachelor thesis deals with the basic types, principles and control of security devices. It describes the external parts of the security device, such as locks, switches, bolts and lights, which are controlled and secured by many types of security devices and aids. This thesis presents the development of security devices and points out the sequence of evolutionary steps of the device. More space in this thesis is devoted to electromechanical equipment and operating procedures. Electromechanical equipment uses the same principles and procedures for building train paths, similarly to modern electronic interlocks. There are several aspects to the development of a security device. The main task is to eliminate the human error factor, further speed up construction and increase control over the position of train paths. Today's modern technologies help to do this. The thesis introduces the concept of failure rate and the basic division of the causes of failures. Due to external influences, failures cannot be fully avoided, but they can be recorded in more detail and prevented it by quality operation and maintenance. This is the main reason for creating this thesis, which can help new entrants to maintain security equipment with their training and education for their future careers, so that the railway remains the safest land transport.

Factors influenting satisfaction boarders in public catering facility
FROUZOVÁ, Ilona
The diploma thesis focuses on ascertaining the satisfaction of boarders, pupils and students of three school lunchroom in South Bohemia. Through a questionnaire, their opinions on variety, quality, atmosphere of the place and the attitude of the staff were ascertained, as was the overall satisfaction with the lunchroom. The satisfaction of boarders differs in individual aspects, in overall perspective, and it also develops in time. Mostly, the respondents were satisfied with the attitude of the staff and the variety of food in the first phase of the questionnaire. Compared to it, the variety in the second phase did not change much (it dropped slightly) and the attitude of the staff was satisfactory too. The quality of meals changed positively as did the atmosphere of the lunchroom and the overall satisfaction.
Special models of the theory of queue
Otarbayeva, Zhamilya ; Kořenář, Václav (advisor) ; Šindelářová, Irena (referee)
Abstract Title: Special models of the theory of queue Author: Zhamilya Otarbayeva Department: Department of Econometrics Supervisor: Ing. Václav Kořenář, CSc. The main aim of this work is describe more complicated queuing models. Firstly I described the models with priority. There are mentioned three types of them: relative, absolute and dynamic. For describing I used formulas and examples from people's life for showing situations where we can meet such kind of queuing models. The second theoretical part contains description of non-Poisson models. I explain four of them: model with Erlang's input and exponential service time, Poisson's input with Erlang's service time, deterministic and general distributions. There are shown formulas for average waiting time in queue, average number of requests in queue and in the system. In practical part are illustrated examples for some models, which were described. The main characteristics of the queuing system are mentioned in the first chapter of this work.
SaaS in corporate ICT - consequences, changes, opportunities
Jurica, Martin ; Donát, Jiří (advisor) ; Koubský, Petr (referee)
This thesis is focused on analyzing the current state of SaaS (Software as a Service) and impact of SaaS on corporate's ICT as a whole. The aim is to explain the concepts and implications of modern forms of providing services, to describe and to evaluate their benefits and risks and to assess future developments in this area. The attention will be paid on specifics of the environment of Czech companies. The first part of this work deals with the current SaaS solutions and related technologies. Emphasis is placed on acquainting the reader with currently available (or introduced by mid-2011) technologies and their mutual relationships. This section also summarizes the current level of knowledge of the field and on this basis provides definitions of areas and technologies. The next part of the thesis focuses on a particular cloud and SaaS solutions available on nowadays market. The next part of this section is based on a specific case study of a small company, which considers the move to SaaS solutions. This section is focused on the practical application of the preceding conclusions. Last section aims at the prediction of development of ICT business in the upcoming years, with an emphasis on SaaS and related technologies. The second part is trying to find answers to the questions "Whether," "When" and "How" will SaaS affect the market of information technologies, their deployment and business models of future anticipated expansion model of Software as a Service. SaaS maturity model is also discussed as well as specificity of the Czech market.
Evaluating Quality of Service Design
Hejl, Daniel ; Feuerlicht, Jiří (advisor) ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (referee)
Service Oriented Architecture is a popular choice of system architecture and many organization are moving towards it in order to closely align IT capabilities with their business goals. They are expecting that the implementation of SOA will lead to increased efficiency, the ability to rapidly respond to changing business environments, and significantly improved return on investment. In order to meet these expectations, great emphasis must be given on correct service design. However, designing services in the way that they are highly reusable and the final product is highly maintainable can be especially challenging. This bachelor thesis focuses on summarization of how metrics for measuring structural properties of service oriented software designs can be used for predicting potential problems in service design. In the practical part of this thesis, a tool for evaluating a service design based on coupling between service interfaces was implemented and practical applicability of one of the metric was demonstrated.
Cloud Computing in Czech enviroment
