In the submitted thesis I focus on domestic violence issues. In the theoretical part, I outline these issues based on a bibliographic research; I specify a basic classification of domestic violence, its development, and the current situation in the Czech Republic. Further, I deal with an analysis of the victim and offender personalities and present a valid legislative framework. Last but not least, I present a list of selected organisations providing support for the persons at risk of domestic violence and principles of their work with such victims. In the empirical part I focus on an analysis of the methods of work and cooperation among selected supporting organisations and this based on interviews with their representatives. After reviewing all the obtained information, I present a proposal aimed at an improvement of the work with domestic violence victims. At the same time, I propose a task that is to be developed as a project by secondary school students within primary prevention; the project is aimed at familiarization of students with the correct and adequate procedures applied by workers from the organisations providing support for domestic violence victims.

Stereotyping in Perception of Domestic Violence Victims
TUZOVÁ, Aneta
This bachelor thesis titled "Stereotypes in perception of victims of domestic violence" refers to the issue of domestic violence. It deals with how university students, who live in České Budějovice, perceive a victim of domestic violence. Therefore, the thesis considers the opinions, attitudes and views of these students. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the terms that relate to the topic are defined. For example: the terms of domestic violence, the attributes, the causes and consequences of domestic violence. Furthermore, the victim and the aggressor are characterized. At the end of the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, there is non-professional as well as professional support of the victim clarified. The aim of the thesis was to find out how students perceive the victim of domestic violence. On the basis of this objective, two hypotheses were formulated: H1: "The university students are convinced that the victims of domestic violence initiate the aggressor to commit domestic violence". H2: "The university students perceive the victims of domestic violence as stupid and ignorant". The practical part of the thesis deals with a research file, which was made up by students of a university in České Budějovice. The total number of respondents, who were engaged in the research, is 457. To be more precise, there were 82 men and 375 women. Students involved in the research are in the master's and bachelor's programme of study. The age of respondents is between 19-25 years. Students in both full-time and also extra-mural study were involved in the research. The respondents were approached by me, my friends and acquaintances, who also study at university. Thanks to them, the questionnaires could reach a larger number of universities, and therefore a relatively high number of students in České Budějovice. For example, the students were from these universities: VŠE, VŠTE, Charles University, and others. As for the University of South Bohemia, I tried to provide the questionnaire for all faculties. In my point of view, it appeared to be successful. In the survey, which was carried out by using the semantic differential, the respondents selected their opinion and the view of a victim of domestic violence. On one side of the semantic differential, there was a positive quality or perspective given, on the other side it was negative. Those respondents, who chose neither the positive nor the negative side, were impartial and selected the average values. Therefore, their point of view and attitude were neutral. I was collecting the data in a period of 7 weeks. After gathering the questionnaires, I continued with processing the data into graphs, and verifying the hypotheses. The statistical evaluation was not necessary, since the results were striking. The respondents hold this view of the victim: they find the victim to be a sad, tolerant, scared, rather a reclusive person, who does not feel comfortable about the domestic violence they go through. Their perception of other qualities and the attitude to the victims is neutral. Many respondents took a neutral approach. My interpretation of this is that university students are afraid of an independent decision, so they rather choose a neutral decision. The result is that the stated hypotheses are not verified.

Accessability of Social Services in the Issue of Domestic Violence Against Women from the Perspective of Social Workers.
SVOBODOVÁ, Nikola
Domestic violence in Czech Republic has been for a long time and unnamed taboo. In the 1990's it came to legislative changes, none-profit organizations interested in this phenomenon were established and they started to promote this issue among the general public. Nowadays there is growing an intensive need that forces us to explore domestic violence in our country. The aim of the study was to ascertain the availability of social services for victims of domestic violence according to the opinion of social workers. There was used a qualitative research strategy. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with six social workers, who were selected by an intentional (purposeful) choice, and who all work in the field of assistance to victims of domestic violence. The theoretical part introduces the basic concepts related to domestic violence, its character, forms, reasons, the course of domestic violence, the typical profile of the offender and the victim. In the next section I focused on the legal framework, which is valid for the Czech Republic. One chapter is devoted to social services providing their assistance to victims of domestic violence. In the last chapter there are social services concretized to those, operating in České Budějovice. The practical part describes the results of qualitative research, based on individual case studies located in the appendix of work. Thanks to compiled research results there was an opportunity to look into the issue of assistance provided to victims of domestic violence in the regional capital city of České Budějovice, and find out whether this service offer meets the demand of the clients who use them. The results show what kind of various services organizations offer to its clients, in which catchment area, in what form and how many clients are they able to take. Research also showed that the offer of social services for the city of České Budějovice is sufficient, but according to respondents, there are still things to be improved. There is an option to contact a number of organizations providing assistance to victims of domestic violence. However, this situation is not as positive in the smaller towns of the South Bohemian Region. The work could, in my opinion, contribute to greater public awareness about service provided for victims of domestic violence.

Domestic violence has been an urgent problem also in the Czech Republic. The objective was to find out the level of public awareness, knowledge of the Intervention Centres in the Moravia-Silesian and Pilsen Regions. Within the first year of that Act operating, there were the least banished offenders v. s. number of inhabitants, just in the Pilsen Region and there were the most ones in the Moravia-Silesian Region. The theoretical work part describes forms of violence in the family, historical relationship of violent actions with women, possibilities how to prevent them or advised help measures to victims of domestic violence. Further, it is focussed on a legislative solution of that problem area in the Czech Republic and some of European countries or the USA as well. The practical work part involves results of a quantity research that was aimed to discovery of public awareness of the Intervention Centres. The research was performed by method of questioning in a way of a questionnaire. The research was focussed on consciousness of general public relating to domestic violence, whether the research respondents have ever met that phenomenon or what is their opinion on information effectiveness of the problem area. The research demonstrated low awareness of the Intervention Centres of inhabitants in both regions. However, most respondents know what domestic violence is. Nearly one third of interviewees have got certain experience with domestic violence. Majority of respondents consider the information on the Intervention Centres and domestic violence as generally useful. This work may be used to increase public awareness of the Intervention Centres or on the other side to provide the Intervention Centres employees with general public{\crq}s reflection as to availability and activity of the Intervention Centres.
