Granular Synthesis in Music Production
The Spectrum and ADSR analysis of different kinds of harpsichords
David, Václav ; Peloušek, Tomáš (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
The work deals with the issue of temporal analysis of the variable frequency spectrum of the harpsichord and its amplitude envelope in time. In the introduction, the creation is described, what type of instrument the harpsichord is, the history of the instrument is also described, and above all, the construction and principle of tone are described. In the following part, we deal with the measurement of the output signal itself, followed by its spectral analysis, where the topic of sound color and the behavior of the harmonic series of the tone are discussed. The formation of inharmonicity in individual registers of the harpsichord is being examined, and the last subchapter focuses on the sharpness of tone over time.

Interval linear systems with linear dependencies
Král, Ondřej ; Hladík, Milan (advisor) ; Rada, Miroslav (referee)
The main problem discussed in this thesis is about finding an enclo- sure of the solution set of an interval linear system with linear dependencies. We get familiar with definitions from interval arithmetic and analysis. Then we extend them to matrices and linear systems, where we introduce several modern approaches to finding an enclosure and divide them thematically. Most of them are implemented in MATLAB using INTLAB library. We compare their precision and computational time on Toeplitz, symmetric and random matrices. For depen- dencies we design our memory saving representation. The results are interpreted and the final function, which can compute either fast, sharp or memory efficient, is build on individual methods. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Envelopes of implicit surfaces
Vráblíková, Jana ; Šír, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Lávička, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to study envelopes and characteristic curves of one parameter systems of quadratic surfaces in real three dimensional space. We define one parameter systems and their envelopes generally and present algebraic geometry approach for en- velope computation using Gröbner bases and elimination theory. We convey a proof of rationality of envelopes of rational one parameter systems of spheres, cones and cylin- ders of revolution using dual space and different models of Laguerre geometry. Then we present a new approach to one parameter systems and their envelopes. We introduce the systems as curves in homogeneous spaces which allows us to study all characteristic curves at a single surface. This approach allows us to prove rationality and even provide an explicit parameterization of characteristic curves and the envelope of a one parameter system of isometric cones of revolution. We provide several other examples illustrating the concepts and results. 1
The Content Analysis of the Magazine Mobility from the Gender Perspective
Spěšný, Miroslav ; Sokolová, Věra (advisor) ; Havelková, Hana (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the gender analysis of the contents based on the Mobility's magazine cover pages. The thesis emphasizes the identification of men and women's representations in this magazine. The Mobility magazine was published once a month from the 1999 till 2011. The analysis is conducted on the complete set of the individual cover pages and deals with an interesting development in these representations. The thesis is divided into theoretical and analytical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to media in the connection with its gender theory and power in the society. Furthermore, this part includes theories dealing with the gender representations in advertisement (Goffman, Sztompka, Indruchová). In the analytical part there is a comparison of the mentioned theories with the examined sample. The detailed description of the individual categories identified within this analysis is presented as well. The thesis focuses on the identification of the specific features observed in a given period of Mobility magazine publishing . It describes the methods of patriarchal discourse 's presentation of pictures appeared in the magazine, which is obviously intended for everybody. The analysis of the cover pages' set indicates stereotyped representation of women. In these cases the women are...

Johan Wolfgang Goethe, Faust
MIHALÍKOVÁ, Petra
This thesis is under the name of Johan Wolfgang Goethe, Faust and has a theoretical and practical form, whereas is divided into three parts. The theoretical part deals mainly about Faust analysis, Johann Wolfgang Goethe´s work, further author´s life and personality are summarized in general level. The practical part is dedicated to the book design and illustrations for this work. The third didactic part creates on the basis of findings from the theoretical and practical part base for lesson of art education in the framework of the educational expertise.
Dante Alighieri: The Divine comedy
MIHALÍKOVÁ, Petra
The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical, which together thematically correspond. The goal of this work is to process work and life of Dante Alighieri. To make literary analysis for - Divine Comedy. The theoretical part focuses on the history and personality of the writer in the context of his time and a literature search of his principal work. The practical part deals with book design and illustrations for Divine Comedy.
