The Optimalization of Capacity Menu
Achimovič, Peter ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (advisor) ; Dlouhá, Zuzana (referee)
The bachelor work is aimed of the composition of capacity menu for young trainees, who want to increase their actual physical form through healthy diet with all of basic macronutrients and they dispose of limited financial budget, as well. The work is systematically structured of four sections, the first part is concerned with definitions of essential terms of linear programming with their metodology. The second part presents fundamental knowledge of nutrion, characteristic of somatotypes and relevant value of components in food.. The main aim of the work is creation of capacity menu through linear and goal programmnig, which are explained in practical part of third and fourth section. Constructed mathematical model is solved in optimalization software LINGO and MS Excel. The interpretation and evaluation of the work is described in coclusion.
Practical use of diet problem
Vítek, Lukáš ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Sekničková, Jana (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to formulate a mathematical model of linear programming problem, which will optimize the menu composition based on a required optimal amount of macronutrients. The goal programming approach is used to solve this problem. At first, the model which will only optimize diet with respect to nutritional values is formulated. After that this model is modified to provide a practically usable menu composition. Finally, the model is upgraded to three days model and more alternative ways are used to solve the problem. There is introduced theory of operational research and linear programming and basic recommendations on a balanced diet in the beginning of the thesis. Then these theoretical knowledges are used in a practical part. All models are formulated in MPL for Windows and solved by the solver Gurobi. The foodstuff database was created in the Microsoft Excel.
Diet Problem and Osteoporosis Prevention
Jáňová, Nikola ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Sekničková, Jana (referee)
The bachelor thesis Diet Problem and Osteoporosis Prevention is, among other things, dedicated to a brief introduction to linear programming. It represents a procedure to solve linear programming tasks. It also focuses on the essence of the diet problem, its history and its use in praxis. Besides the diet problem, the word osteoporosis appears in the title, because the thesis deals with diet-based prevention of osteoporosis. An introduction to the subject of osteoporosis is also included. After defining the theoretical basis, the one-day and five-day diet models are formulated. Both models have to meet many criteria and constraints. The models emphasize two categories of people: adults aged from 18 to 50 and adults older than 50. One-day diet models are solved in MS Excel. A solution of the extended five-day model is designed with MPL for Windows.
The usage of the nutritional problem in real life
Salačová, Naďa ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Machovec, Bohumír (referee)
This bachelor thesis is about the usage of nutritional problem in real life, specifically about creating nutritional plan for professional athletes - basketball players. The main focus is to minimize the costs of the menu for one or five days, in which they will comply with all the nutritional requirements while respecting the exact calories intake (the amount of fat, sugar and protein). We will create four different menus - two for men and two for women. Each one has different requirements for the intake of those nutrients. Another goal for this research is to implement those menus into daily life of those athletes. They can be adjusted depending on the actual needs of each athlete. The perfect solution for all four menu choices can be found with software called LINGO.
The use of nutritional problem in practice - infant nutrition
Nguyen, Linh Mai ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Kozáková, Petra (referee)
The thesis is about infant nutrition. The aim is to create a menu for infants replacement feeding. The work is divided into two parts. The first part will focus on nutritional problems in theory and in the second part of this problem we apply in practice, is necessary to observe the conditions and requirements of food, or energy value, the daily dose of protein, fat, fiber and carbohydrates. The work is also about optimization systems, specifically MS Excel Solver and modeling system Lingo.
Application of nutritional problem in use
Vojtíšková, Kamila ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on using nutritional problem in dog kennel of breed Tosa Inu, one of the molossoid dogs. The first part of thesis deals about theory of nutritional problem and its use in human and animal nutrition. The second part focuses on dog nutrition. Limits for nutrient values are made from the diet that is used in kennel and the influences of nutrients on dog's health and its correct development are also described in detail. Model of nutrition for kennel is realized in the third part of thesis and a global optimal solution with minimizing costs is found through program Lingo. The bachelor thesis also includes application of model in dog shelters and finding optimal nutrition for dogs of molossoid breed in shelters with minimizing costs of sponsors.
Creating an Android application with help of the nutrition problem
Havlík, Vratislav ; Kobzareva, Maria (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The main target of this bachelor thesis is to create an Android application. The aim of this application is to use household resources effectively with help of an optimization. The user chooses his own way of the optimization to his satisfaction. Application uses linear programming, more precisely a nutrition problem. In the first part the thesis deals with linear programming in general, in the second part the nutrition problem is introduced, the third part is dedicated to optimization of a healthy diet, in the fourth part Android application fundamentals are showed and in the final part the thesis focuses on the application itself.
Optimization of children food at the camp
Kadlecová, Kateřina ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (advisor) ; Kobzareva, Maria (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on a diet optimization of the children's summer camp cuisine in accordance with the standards placed on the nutritional food composition as well as on the equipment and possibilities of the local kitchen. The theoretical part of the thesis includes the description and the structure of the operational research problem. Whereas the aim of the empirical part was to model the problem as a task of the linear as well as the goal programming. Both these tasks were solved in the LINGO software. The results were exported into MS Excel and then added to the text of the present thesis as the tables of resulting menus. The present thesis identifies the nutritional value and composition of 43 dishes. The list of these dishes served as the input file used for the modelations mentioned above.
Menu optimization for school cafeteria
Vlačihová, Martina ; Princ, Peter (advisor) ; Chrobok, Viktor (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the application of mathematical programming in real data application. Specifically, it is nutritional problem that is defined in the environment of school cafeteria. The main topic is a compilation of the school menus. There are four menus that consist of twenty meals. There are many limitations which have to be observed. These limitations are based on the requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The model is described with the linear programming and is solved by the program LINGO.
Nutritional problem – horse nutrition
Svatoň, Jindřich ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (advisor) ; Šindelářová, Irena (referee)
This work deals with the composition of daily feeding ration for different types of horses. The objective is to create a specific feeding ratio consisting of various horses feed at minimum costs and meeting requirements for nutritional conditions. Several other recommendations that cannot be overlooked in horse nutrition are also considered. The age of the horse, the weight in adulthood, the horse's workload, and an annual period is taken into account of this work. Daily feeding ration is composed and solved by linear programming, the optimal solution is found by using MS Excel 2007 solver. The solution of this task is to create a model that can be applied in practice.
