Analýza srážkových úhrnů ve vybrané oblasti
JINDROVÁ, Eliška
The aim of this thesis is to compare precipitation totals of two time periods, namely before and after the construction of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. Data from rainfall totals were tested and evaluated in terms of evidence of differences between the evaluated periods. The spatial variability of precipitation in the defined vicinity of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant was also evaluated. The content of this thesis was also a theoretical introduction to the issue of precipitation and its measurement in the literature search. The results did not show the influence of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant on the annual precipitation totals in the investigated area.
Sorption of radionuclid 85Sr to soils from area nuclear power plant Temelín
Reidingerová, Markéta ; Nesměrák, Karel (advisor) ; Rychlovský, Petr (referee)
This thesis is focused on the study of sorption of radionuclide 85 Sr in soil collected in the area of a nuclear power plant Temelín. A single-batch method experiment was used when a solution of radionuclide 85 Sr of known activity was added to the soil. The experiments focussed on the influence of pH with the size of the sorption and the influence of the time of the contact of the solution with the sorption. During the experiment with the value of pH closest to the pH of underground water from the nuclear power plant Temelín, the sorption of soil was somewhere between 31 to 44 %. When the time influence on the sorption was examined, radionuclide 85 Sr was sorbed very quickly. For the comparison of the sorption size in connection with the time, for which it was chosen 120 minutes, the sorption was almost constant, reaching 40 to 48 %. Key words Radioactivity, radionuclide 85 Sr, sorption, nuclear power plant Temelín

In total, eight villages had to be cleared and great areas of farmland were transformed. The individual lost villages are briefly characterised in terms of history and then there is a description of what particularly was demolished and what has remained. The theses is based on comparison of photographs from the past with the contemporary state.
The Costs of the Evacuation of Týn nad Vltavou during the Special Incident at The Temelín Nuclear Power Station
JANDOVÁ, Kamila
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out and calculate the cost of an emergency evacuation of Týn nad Vltavou in the event of a major incident at Temelín Nuclear Power Station; specificially the costs of controlled emergency evacuation by stand-by buses. The following research question was set: How high would the cost of emergency evacuation of the population be on a selected route by evacuation buses? The theoretical part focuses on the current procedures of evacuation in the area of emergency planning of nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic and abroad. It also focuses on population protection in detail. And finally it examines aspects of evacuation itself, types of evacuation and evacuation luggage. The thesis also examines the Temelín nuclear power station and its external emergency plan. The practical part focuses on calculating the cost of emergency evacuation by stand-by buses. It was necessary to find out the length of individual evacuation routes, the number of busses required for the evacuation, the runnining cost of a bus per 1 kilometer, the cost of a 1 - hour waiting time per bus and the total cost of waiting time for all the buses. The following mathematical formula was created to calculate the total cost. The costs of emergency evacuation by stand-by busses were calculated for a 50 % evacuation of the population of Týn nad Vltavou and for a 100 % evacuation of town's schools and social facilities. The total cost of emergency evacuation was the summary of the cost of the residents' and schools and social facilities' evacuations. This result is only oriantional. The total cost of emergency evacuation of the area can differ in the future if any of the variables change.

Analysis method of securing the evacuation of people from emergency planning zone of nuclear power plant Temelin
STARÁ, Andrea
The thesis deals with the solution to evacuation of the population from the zone of emergency planning of the nuclear power station Temelín in the event of an incident connected with the release of radioactive substances . It analyzes the way of evacuation of the persons, as one of the most important safety measures to ensure protection of the population. In particular, the work focuses on the correct procedures in the case of realization of the evacuation and competence of the persons involved in safety measures. It lists the basic criteria which are applied in protection of the population from the effects of ionizing radiation in vicinity of nuclear power plants. It proposes improving of quality of security protection and information of persons in the zone of emergency planning. The work is based on valid law regulations and special publications of the examined problems. The predominantly part is based on the laws in force, and expertise of publications covering the evacuation of the area.It refers to the external emergency plan, as the basic document for the planning of measures for the disposal of the consequences of radiation accidents or radiation accidents and the limitation of their consequences for the zone of emergency planning. The theoretical part proceeeds from analysis of contemporary legislation concerning the stated problematics, presents the general characteristics of a nuclear device and zone of emergency planning, defining the basic concepts and discusses the important measures in addressing emergencies arising in connection with radiation accidents in nuclear power plant. The work puts emphasis on the principle of correct behaviour of the population in the event of such an accident. For the processing of the thesis there has been used an exploration method, which is based on the proposed methodology. On the base of analysis of survey, possible ways of improvement of this branch were suggested. From the collected data there have been assessed possible system measures of evacuation with regard to their application in practice.
The impact of Nuclear Power Plant Temelin on the climate of surrounding area
BARÁTOVÁ, Michaela
BARÁTOVÁ, M. (2012): The impact of Nuclear Power Plant Temelin on the climate of surrounding area. Bachelor Thesis. University of South Bohemia, Pedagogical faculty, Department of Geography. 128 pages Nuclear power plant Temelin is a dominant, which forms silhouette of the Ceskobudejovicka basin. It is a construction, which faces and resists criticism from environmental organizations. Benefit or threat to South Bohemia? Undoubtebly, the area of disputes between politicians of Czech Republic and Austria. This bachelor thesis evaluates especially climate impacts of Nuclear Power Plant Temelin. Theoretical - methodological base is mainly focused on the discussion of literature, in general and in specific terms researched the topic and related hypotheses. General section then describes the basic physical - geographical characteristics of the selected area, special emphasis is placed on climatography. An integral part of the general section is a brief description of working the youngest European power plant. The analytical section is dedicated to monitoring climate of surrounding area ETE using data that was recorded by Observatory Czech Hydrometeorological Office in Temelin and the results are compared with data that were recorded during the same period by in České Budějovice. The monitoring of climate surrounding area of Nuclear Power Plant is assessed from two perspectives. The first view sees the climate before the start of nuclear power plants in operation, so from 1989 to 2001; the second look is focused on changes which was formed after the running of nuclear power plants in 2002. The analytical part shows the possible changes in selected climatic characteristics that could be caused by cooling tower plume.
Population protection in the emergency planning zone around the Nuclear Power Plant Temelín
MARTINŮ, Pavlína
This issue represents contribution to discussion of the population protection within the emergency planning zone of Temelín Nuclear Power Plant (NNP). My intention was to evaluate the actual system of public protection measures in the case of potential appearance of the radiation accident. As a part of this evaluation the analysis of correlation between emergency classification system of emergency events severity, valid for Temelín NPP, and system of immediate protective measures for population was done. The introductory parts of my work describes the basic information about Temelín Nuclear Power Plan. The main attention was given to nuclear safety, radiation protection, principles of emergency preparedness and types of NPP operating modes. Further system of public protection measures for the case of radiation accident appearance is described. Emergency classification system of potential extraordinary events at Temelín NPP and principles of announcements and public warning is also explained in this part. Part of this information represents description of potential implementation of immediate protective actions. One of the outputs is in the form of simple educational software program useful especially for children education. They can received information how to behave in the case of radiation accident declaration. Software is enclosed in the form of compact disk and gain knowledge can be verified by a short test.
