Street Harassment of Non-Heterosexual Women

This constructivist diploma thesis focuses on the problem called street harassment, specifically in the context of non-heterosexual women, and its analysis through the intersection of gender and sexuality in the heteronormative society. The theoretic part explains the basic terminology such as heteronormativity, homonegativity and misogyny which is used for presenting the context in which street harassment takes place. The core part of the text is dedicated to the forms of such behaviour, its psychological and social impacts on non-heterosexual women and their lives, their reactions and coping strategies. The empirical part focuses on analogical subtopics but in the concrete context of street harassment of non-heterosexual female couples. Its goal is to describe and accentuate this area which has been marginalized in the Czech as well as foreign academic debate. For these purposes was chosen the qualitative empirical design, specifically eight semi- structured in-depth interviews. The results were analysed by the thematic analysis method because it enables to find the common themes as well as the valuable distinctions in the interviews. Proces zrovnoprávňování neheterosexuálních osob v České republice

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map the ongoing process of obtaining equal rights for non-heterosexual individuals in Czechia. Most of the text is devoted to three main periods of time - the First Czechoslovak Republic, period of the nineties in twentieth century and the last five years as milestones of the researched topic. The main contribution of this writing is a summarizing description of key actors, organizational structures, government interventions and social phenomena that played an important role in the legislative changes in human right settlement of these minorities to the heteronormative majority. The Thesis offers a chronological analysis of changes in the perception of non-heterosexual individuals in this territory from 1918 to the present days with the historical context preceding it. To demonstrate the standpoints of the society the writing also presents sociological surveys related to the topic.

Analysis of processes and needs within the conversations of the online mentoring counseling center "S barvou ven"

Presented thesis deals with conversations that arise within the online mentoring counseling center "S barvou ven". Mainly young people going through the process of coming out are the target group of counseling center. In the theoretical part of thesis, I describe the counseling center, the social atmosphere that prevails around the issue of people with minority sexual orientation, clarify what a mentoring relationship is and its importance in the lives of adolescents and describe the process of coming out. The empirical part deals with the qualitative analysis of nineteen conversations. The results of the analysis showed that clients entering the counseling center use the conversation with the mentor to meet various needs, from the need to share their feelings or experiences to the desire to find their "friend" or partner in the mentor. The results of the second part of the analysis provide an indicative overview of the client's needs, as well as when and why their needs could or could not be met. The results also show how mentors work with needs which clients can not consciously describe. Last but not least, the results overview shows that mentors use a wide range of questions, offer information or provide clients, for example, a sense of belonging or hope, or offer their own experience.

Parenthood of Two Women

This paper focuses on parenthood and raising children by same-sex couples in the view of non- heterosexual women in the Czech Republic, and especially their reproductive options, opinions and references. This research aims to find out what makes non-heterosexual women to decide whether or not to raise a child, what kind of reproductive techniques they prefer and how to raise a child within relationship. This research also aims to find out the division of roles in the female same-sex family, especially what aspects led to the division roles in the household. Thesis uses qualitative research, concretely based on in-depth semi-structural interviews with seven non-heterosexual women. Using a thematic analysis, I identified five key themes: origin, surroundings, preferences of reproducing options, homoparental families and fostering preferences. This research points to crucial impact of a family, job and money towards a decision to raise a child. Next important point is desire of motherhood. Women identified job and financial situation as a main aspect of the division roles in household. Non-heterosexual women generally preferred the sperm donation out of clinic insemination as the most suitable reproductive technique, in case of complication women approach IVF with fake father. Literary, cultural and historical influences in the works and beliefs of Oscar Wilde

The thesis deals with the cultural and literary influences that can be traced in the works of Oscar Wilde. Its aim is to map out and elucidate some of the important motifs of the author's work and aesthetics in their own context as well as in the wider cultural-historical one. The methods used will be comparison of relevant materials, analysis of certain expressions typical of the author with their connotations, explaining the intertextual allusions in Wilde's work, and historical sources. The requisite attention will also be paid to Wilde as a representative of a subversive element of Victorian society and how this relates to his sexuality; that is to say, exploring the issue of the tabooing of non-heterosexuality, which may have been a decisive factor in Wilde's criticism of the conventions of his era and to his search of positive role-models in the ancient tradition both for his art and for his personal philosophy.
