Spark ignition engine for small passenger car
Fáber, Filip ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis was to define force progression in crank-type mechanism from the set parameters of the cylindrical unit. Furthermore, the design of the possible balance of this crank-type mechanism with one balancing shaft was realized. The calculations of torsional vibration and stress analyses of the designed crank-type mechanism were realized too.
Hydraulic pullers
Kvasnica, Tomáš ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This Diploma thesis occupies with design of hydraulic puller. In work are mentioned possible types of construction. Choice construction of puller is disposed with parameters: maximum pushing force 50 kN, speed of piston rod 0,05 m/s. This work also contains FEM analysis by computer programme I-DEAS. The work also occupies with design of fluid drive.
Stress-strain analysis of a sclerotic artery during angioplasty
Trtík, Adam ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on an analytical calculation of maximum stress and deformation in arterial wall suffering from atherosclerosis during angioplasty and compares this value to the stress in wall of both healthy and sclerotic artery loaded by normal systolic pressure. Finally, the results are compared with corresponding model using the finite element method. In the theoretical part, the histology of arteries, their biomechanical properties and pathogenesis of atherosclerosis itself are briefly described.
Deformation, stress and safety analysis of the bicycle frame.
Ondrejka, Jan ; Vosynek, Petr (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess complience and safety of the bicycle frame with basic elasticity approach, namely by deformation and stress analysis. After model simplyfying, two different cases were made. Difference between these two were in loads aplied on the frame. Maple 12.0 softwarre was used for calculation, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD were used for sketches. The results were checked with ANSYS Workbench.
Design of Device for Vehicle Center of Gravity Height Measurement
Rektořík, Jiří ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this diploma thesis is the design of a device that measures the vehicle’s centre of gravity height position. The first part defines individual methods of measurement using various measuring equipment. The next part deals with the definition of requirements for the device and the definition of the design. A stress-strain analysis was executed for selected components. This diploma thesis describes the preparation process of the vehicle and the device for the measurement. The next part is dedicated to the design of the measuring chain and to the evaluation of the results. The thesis concludes with a theoretic analysis of the measurement inaccuracy.
Placement Optimization of Projector Lens
Bezděk, Matěj ; Važík, Jiří (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of engineering design of holder of projector lens. The thesis is created in cooperation with department of development in Varroc Lighting Systems, s.r.o. Initial part provides a brief description of the development of lighting technology used in car´s headlamps. The following part describes solutions currently used in clamping the lens in holder. The main part of the thesis focuses on the design of holder of projector lens itself. Projector lenses testing provide critical values of cohesive failure of the lens material, which cannot be exceed during the process of lens fitting and its subsequent clamping. In the final part the engineering design is verified and optimized using finite element analysis.
Design of separator
Benda, David ; Nekvasil, Richard (referee) ; Lošák, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of the gas separator according to the standard ČSN EN 13445. The design is based on the specified operating parameters and the basic dimensions, including the individual positions of the connecting flanges on the device according to the relevant schema. The assignment also includes the load of the nozzles from connected pipelines to the device. The analytical calculation of the design is performed in the commercial software NextGen with the analysis of the individual components used. Furthermore, some parts of the device are inspected in detail using the finite element method in the commercial software Ansys. The thesis also included the drawing documentation of the designed gas separator.
Hydromobil - design of mechanical-hydraulic recovery of car kinetic energy
Stodolák, Michal ; Robenek, Dětřich (referee) ; Nevrlý, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the structural design of a vehicle powered by pressure fluid that is stored in a hydraulic-pneumatic accumulator. The first part described the types of energy recovery, especially hydraulic recovery. Furthermore there are outlined basic parameters of the design of the vehicle driving mechanism. The second part describes the design of hydromobile with emphasis on the chassis, especially the driving and braking system. Additional information on the individual parts of the chassis, that are put through the stress analysis. The final part deals with the actual manufacturing of the hydromobile and is followed by the resume of the thesis.
Stress, deformation and strength analysis of the frontal recumbend axle
Valenda, Jakub ; Gayer, Tomáš (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on evaluation of tenseness and safety of a recumbert bike's front axle using method of basic elasticity. Calculation is limited to three options that differ in manner of frame's load. Used model of the axle is beam with two straight and one curved part. A bend and twist are considered as dominant stress. In conclusion there is for each load status evaluated the progress of tension on a beam's length, safety in critical point and deformation in point of power effect on axle. In my bachelor thesis there was used Matlab software for analytic calculation. Ancillary drawings were created in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
The Design of Formula Student Brake Disc
Novosad, Pavel ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with Formula Student vehicle Electric Dragon 2 brake disc desings. Proposed designs underwent thermal and stress analysis based on relevant literature. The main criterion is keeping the disc temperature in the optimal operating window for brake pads while reducing weight. Durability of the discs is set to one racing season. Final design is compared to the previous one used in older generations of the vehicle.
