Impact of the European Cohesion Policy in Central Bohemia Region

This thesis evaluates the impact of European Cohesion Policy in Central Bohemia Region with focus on Podlipansko region. The thesis is focused on activities of the Local Action Group Podlipansko in the programming period 2007 - 2013. The theoretical part deals with the regional policy of the European Union, including the financial instruments of regional policy and the principles of regional policy. Following section is dedicated to the development of cohesion policy in the Czech Republic and cohesion regions. At the beginning of the practical part of the thesis, Central Bohemia Region and the activities of the local action groups are described. Next section is dedicated to the activities of the Local Action Group Podlipansko in Podlipansko region. Activities of the Local Action Group Podipansko are evaluated through the monitoring indicator analysis. The results of public inquiry among residents of the region are addressed as well. The closing part assesses if the activities of the Local Action Groups are beneficial for the development of rural areas.
Evaluation of Financial Instruments of Regional Policy of a chosen Region

This thesis is focused on regional policy and its instruments used by the South Bohemian Region. After demarcation the definition, principles, concepts and targets of regional policy is made classification of individual instruments and description of historical development and present regional policy. Thesis presents evaluation of the financial instruments of regional policy regions. It leads to a comparison of financial instruments in years 2010, 2011 and 2012 and to determine harmony or discrepancy of grant programs with targets declared in Regional Development Programme. Neglected area are outlined and possible solutions for the development of these areas are suggested.
European structural funds and their potential gain for establishment of a bussiness

Master thesis analyses current state of European Union's Regional policy. Part of research is represented by historic overview and characteristic of basic principles, instruments and defined objectives. For futher purpose of thesis, the attention is focused on czech business environment, national programme documents and Operational programme Enterprises and Inovations, which was chosen as the the most convenient. Practical part is represented by business plan San Gimignano, which could possibly apply for european resources. The output of this master thesis is analysis of potentional abovementioned gain and factors of possible success.
Regional policy instruments in Hradec Králové region

This thesis is written about the regional policy instruments, specifically in Hradec Králové Region. The goal of this study is to evaluate the regional policy instruments in Hradec Králové Region, research the strengths and weaknesses of these instruments and suggest possible improvements in their application. The methods of synthesis and analysis are used in this thesis. The theoretical part of this research deals with the most commonly used system of classification by different authors; furthermore, describes their development and demonstrates their situation in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, socioeconomic profile of Hradec Králové Region is briefly presented; moreover, the instruments applied in the studied region are specified and evaluated, strengths and weaknesses are demonstrated; and lastly, recommendations for future development are presented. The conclusions are summarised in a table for clarity, where strengths and weaknesses and recommendations for each instrument can be found.
Regional policy instruments and its application in Central Bohemia Region

This bachelor's thesis is focused on regional policy instruments and its application in Central Bohemia Region. Regional policy, its definition, motifs, history, goals, instruments etc., are described in the theoretical part. The theoretical part also briefly describes Czech regional policy, its legislative background and programme securing. The practical part is focused on Central Bohemia Region, introduction of regional policy in this region and its evaluation. The aim of this thesis is to specify and evaluate regional policy instruments used in Central Bohemia Region. There are also mentioned strengths and weaknesses of specific instruments and possible solutions leading to eliminate the weaknesses.Methods, used to elaborate this thesis are analysis and synthesis.
The Analysis of financing tourist trade projects of structural funds of Europian Union in Central Bohemia region

The diploma thesis solves a problem of finnancing tourist trade projects of financial resources of European Union. The system of financial help is one of the most discussed topic after enter Czech Republic to EU. The mechanism of financing project is a little bit difficult, it offers many opportunities of development. A point of this diploma thesis is analysed present situation in Central Bohemia region with a view of tourist trade, it means if there is a development of tourist trade and what kind the financial resources are allocated. The financial help in the part of tourist trade is represented by Common Regional Programm 2004-2006 and Regional Operational Programm NUTS II Central Bohemia 2007-2013. The analysis of four part of Central Bohemia region was made in the diploma thesis due to their influence of development to tourist trade and allocation of financial projects. After that, there were recommended new proposals to improve situation.
Evaluation of Implemention of Programme Real Estates from Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise

Subject of my diploma thesis is evaluation of implementation of aid programme Real Estates. The aid programme implements priority axis Development of Business Infrastructure of Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise in the period 2004--2006. Aim of this paper is to evaluate the use of subsidies and the achievement of goals of the programme Real Estates. The theoretical part deals with regional policy instruments and its basis in theories of regional development and economic theories. Afterwards the programme Real Estates is explicated as well as it's rules and requirements. The programme is put in context with theoretical principles of regional policy instruments, which are applied in the programme. Within the analysis of the programme, there are subsidised projects clearly specified as to what projects and which applicants were subsidised and how much the aid was. The core analysis surveys economic, social and environmental impacts of the projects generally and in part regionally.
