The aim of this thesis is to summarize the development of air cargo between Europe and North America and also provide an overview of predictions of future development of this market. The theoretical part of this thesis concentrates on the historical development and on the general characteristics of air cargo. The practical part is focused on air cargo market between Europe and North America. This part describes among others also the development of domestic air cargo markets both in Europe and North America, the structure of transported commodities and finally introduces the latest trends and forecasts of further development of this market.

International transport of live animals

The aim of this work is to analyse the transport of live animals as a very specific type of transport. The first part of work is about legislation, which is related to the transport of live animals. There is the description of the requirements for the carrying on the transport of live animals, necessary documents, permissions and equipment of the means of transport. In the next part of work the statistics related to the transport of live animals are given. For example there are the numbers of transported live animals, the numbers of checking or the numbers of the infringements of the rules. Then a description of two specific international transports of live animals implemented by Czech zoological gardens is presented. The final part of work is about the company Boby-Fleisch, which is specialised in the transport of live animals.

Environmental considerations in long-term transportation contract

Final thesis focuses on a new trend in logistics -- environmental considerations in supply chain and innovations connected with cargo transportation. Nowadays, due to diminishing trade barriers, goods are transported across longer distances, which results into negative externalities. The main purpose of this thesis is to analyse the impact of transport of finished vehicles on the environment. The questionare was built to find out interest, measures and future visions of automotive companies in reducing the environmental impact which is a consequence of their outbound logistics.

Doing Business in Multimodal Transport - its Specifics and Benefits

Diplomová práce popisuje oblast podnikání v nákladní multimodální přepravě s užším zaměřením na přepravu produktů potravinářské kvality. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny obecné informace o tomto druhu přepravy. V praktické části, na příkladu konkrétní přepravní firmy byla provedena analýza podnikatelských příležitostí na českém trhu, segmentace zákazníků a analýza konkurence v oboru. Nezbytnou součástí rozboru je i analýza odvětví jako takového. Důležitou částí diplomové práce je kapitola č. 6.5, která identifikuje nejdůležitější kritéria rozhodování zákazníků při výběru přepravní firmy a definuje hlavní kritéria dopravní firmy při výběru zákazníků. Dále je klíčová celá kapitola 8, která poukazuje na výhody, užitek a jiné benefity multimodální přepravy zboží a mohla by být určitým vodítkem pro zákazníky při rozhodování o výběru přepravní firmy.

Silniční doprava v Evropě a zapojení do intraregionálního obchodu

Práce analyzuje silniční dopravu (prioritně nákladní) v Evropské unii s ohledem na postupné rozšiřování z EU15 na EU25 a nově také EU27. Okrajově se též zaměřuje na neunijní státy Evropy. Sleduje podíly silniční nákladní přepravy na celkové evropské přepravě, porovnává společnou dopravní politiku Evropské unie, dopravní politiky a situace v dopravní sféře ve státech bývalého východního bloku, Německa a Velké Británie a poukazuje na silniční bezpečnostní politiku vybraných západních států. Jedna kapitola se věnuje střetům zastánců a odpůrců silniční dopravy. Zvláštní kapitola je poté ke konci práce věnována České republice.

Development of Logistics in the Czech Republic

This thesis engages in the survey of logistics formative frame, logistics background, foreign direct investment, supplied services and logistics trends in the Czech Republic, complemented by a European and world context. With respect to the dependency of logistics on processing industry, the analytical part deals with the possible exchange of the FDI investors from this industry with the ones that would invest into higher quality demanding production. Cargo transportation inquires into currently discussed topics in particular transporation sectors within the European perspective.
