Leisure time of parents of children with severe disability and multiple handicap

The thesis deals with specific aspects of leisure time in parents of children with severe combined disabilities. The research involved 6 mothers of children with severe combined disabilities. It turns out that these mothers do not have free time or can only implement it to a minimum. If they use the support of members of the immediate family or the services of a day care center in which their children go to school, they can focus on themselves after household chores or dedication to the other child. At that moment, engaged in recreational sports, art techniques or fulfilling the need for sleep. Mothers as the biggest obstacle to the realization of leisure time presents the complete absence of special social services.
The use of tablets (iPads) in special education classroom with children with profound intellectual disabilities.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to determine the meaningfulness of the use of tablet devices in the education of pupils with severe multiple disabilities. In the first chapter is defined the terminology. For the achievement of the objectives is chosen a qualitative approach. The one in the form of case studies working with a student with severe multiple disabilities and is dedicated to the analysis of educational activities with the tablet in specific teaching blocks. Next are used the methods for the analysis of the pupil's school documents and repeated observation of the activities with a digital tablet carried out on the basis of the pupil's individual educational plan. Of the individual teaching blocks are taken videos, which are analyzed for the objectivity of the observed. Due to the results of the research can be concluded that for the student with severe multiple disabilities it makes sense to work with the tablet. The use of selected applications not only contributes to the development of his perception, attention and communication, but is usable also for the motivation for learning. The bachelor thesis is beneficial for all who work with students with severe multiple disabilities, and may be a trigger for those who still doubt over the use of tablets in education. The results of the research show that the use of modern technology in teaching can be very beneficial. Can be an inspiring source of and stimulus for further wider use of tablet devices in the field of helping professions, for example in the field of special education, social services or healthcare.
