Pidych, Tomáš ; Kafka, Clemens (advisor) ; Nečasová, Pavla (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is looking to explore what digital content there currently is on the internet that could be effectively made use of as a tool in teaching German. It describes the potential use cases of the individual digital sources and tries to find out to what extent they are more or less efficient compared to printed materials such as coursebooks. The theoretical part adumbrates the existing research in the field of multimedia didactics, the design principles of multimedia teaching aids and the mechanisms of human sensory perception. It classifies the existing types of media and examines the developments and the recent tendencies in juvenile media consumption with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. The practical part mediates some insight into the course of the experiment connected with this thesis. Two groups of the same age are involved. One (Group B) is subject to multimedia enhanced classes while the other (Group A) holds classes that only use printed aids. Both groups take a complex entry test before the experiment and a final test when the experiment is finished, both accentuating free writing and translation. All of the collected sentences are analyzed in selected grammatical categories in order to quantify which of the groups made more prominent progress. Group A starts off as more...

The theoretical part covers four main areas: aims of current education and language teaching, multimedia in teaching, authentic materials in English lessons, and documentary films as a didactic tool. By an eclectic combination of the most suitable findings, approaches and methods from these areas, three complex educational materials based on documentaries were constructed for English lessons. These materials contain worksheets for students, instructions for teachers, presentations for online teaching, and a set of additional sheets and present a ready-to-use tool for English classes. In the practical part, design of the materials is described, along with their subsequent evaluation by experienced English teachers. Based on the materials design and evaluation, the overall aim of this thesis is to find out whether documentary films and lessons based on them are effective for English language teaching (where the main criterion is whether they lead to fulfilling the aims of language teaching and current educational aims in general) and what their main benefits are. The data collected are...

Videosequention and their usage by physics education at basic schools
RYNEŠ, Tomáš
The aim of this thesis is to certify appropriateness of using the video sequences during the Physics lessons. The school lessons are complemented by multimedia items which are not found in traditional education and that are why pupils can verify their theoretical knowledge during the work with the video sequences. The main point is the conditions that if the theoretical knowledge and competences given during the Psychics lessons are complemented by the concrete samples, pupils will easily understand and master it. It is a well chosen educational strategy which will lead to better fulfilment of the key competences in Physics.
