Unorthodox measures of economic performance
Křehlík, Tomáš ; Zápal, Jan (advisor) ; Jeřábek, Jakub (referee)
Assessing long-term economic performance is persistent problem of current economics. Various methods exist, most often in form of indices (Sustainable society index, Ecological footprint, Urban Sustainability index, etc.), which however suffer from many issues (monetization, weighting). In recent years assessment method called NAIADE based on fuzzy logic and multi-criteria decision analysis has been developed. It deals with many problems of aforementioned indices. This approach has not yet been applied to data of many countries. Goal of my bachelor's thesis is to give overview of currently used indices, introduce multi-criteria decision analysis, perform computation of NAIADE and discuss rankings of the Czech Republic in international perspective.
Students euro account evaluation
VAŇATOVÁ, Jana
The main aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate accounts of foreign exchange for students. The evaluation was made for two potencial students with different preferences. Another aim is carried out survey and later compare all results.

Aplication of multicriteria decision in rating of services
KUPEČEK, Jan
The aim of dissertation is to analyse provided services in chosen area and evaluate them by quantitative methods. At the beginning of thesis there are delimited theoretical terms connected with this area. For practital part was chosen few companies for comparison by chosen multicriteria method, which was evaluated and was chosen best company by results of method. At the end of thesis are introduced suggestions for services improvement of companies.
Evaluation of current accounts
PLAČKOVÁ, Markéta
The aim of this thesis is to compare the theoretical results of evaluation of current accounts with the practical results of the survey. In the theoretical part were described the selected methods of multi-criteria decision analysis, that makes it possible to evaluate current accounts according to several criterias. It was also carried out a survey which aimed to identify whicg current accounts are used by respondents and what are the conditions for their use. In the practical part were a compared of theoretical and practical results. In conclusion are evaluated the best products and compiled an overview of evaluation accounts used by respondents.
Methods of Selection of Information System
Procházka, Filip ; Lorenc, Miroslav (advisor) ; Šlechta, Jan (referee)
The thesis focuses on a process of selection of information systems (applications) and methods of their selection. It explores common mistakes, which businesses and their managers make when they select an information system. Overall, the research is focused on small and medium-sized enterprises. The main terms, the steps of selection, the methods of multi-criteria decision analysis and the common mistakes of decision makers are analysed in the theoretical part. In the practical part, three methods of selection are used in a particular enterprise. Consequently, a suitable solution for the company was selected. A group of recommendations was constructed on the basis of the interviews with seven experts on information systems. These recommendations can be used in small and medium-sized enterprises as a prevention of common mistakes that could be made in the process of selection.
Stock portfolio optimization using multi-criteria methods
Mihál, Jakub ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Čížek, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to fulfill expectations of fictional investor, in other words choice of optimal stock portfolio based on preset requirements. First part of the bachelor thesis is dedicated to theoretical approach explaining stock markets, decision theory and linear programming. Process of the optimal portfolio selection is based on process consisting of 3 main steps. First steps selects stocks that are effective - worth investing - from investor's point of view. Selection is carried out via multi-criteria decion analysis method ELECTRE I. Second step verifies reliabitily of the output from step one. Third step designes mathematical model and resultant optimization in mathematical comilator LINGO. In conclusion I will focus myself on thorough interpretation and analysis of the results and choice of optimal portfolio.
Město pro byznys: Multi-dimensional statistical analysis and the possible suggestions on how to improve the project
Krajča, Marek ; Vilikus, Ondřej (advisor) ; Šamanová, Gabriela (referee)
The main objective of my diploma thesis is multidimensional data analysis. Analyzed data come from the comparative research Město pro byznys 2013 (Eng. translation: The city for business 2013). Another goal is to propose some changes that could improve the project. Used methods for multidimensional data analysis are exploratory analysis, principal component analysis, factor analysis and cluster analysis. Among others, for proposing some changes I use multi-criteria decision analysis.
Utilization of Mathematical Methods to Evaluate Savings Accounts
JONÁŠOVÁ, Jana
The goal of this dissertation is to show the way how to compare various bank offers by means of variations' multi criterial assessment and to explain the workings of savings accounts. The methods were applied to 10 savings accounts. The advantage of these methods is the fact that they take into consideration the importance of criterions chosen by clients themselves. As a result, the individual savings accounts are listed in order from the best to the worst. Thus the best option determined directly to the client can be recommended to him. There are 5 various methods by which the rankings can be determined. The results are more accurate and the client can get the absolutely right option's recommendation.
