Analysis of experimental ECG
Maršánová, Lucie ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Ronzhina, Marina (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of experimental electrograms (EG) recorded from isolated rabbit hearts. The theoretical part is focused on the basic principles of electrocardiography, pathological events in ECGs, automatic classification of ECG and experimental cardiological research. The practical part deals with manual classification of individual pathological events – these results will be presented in the database of EG records, which is under developing at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at BUT nowadays. Manual scoring of data was discussed with experts. After that, the presence of pathological events within particular experimental periods was described and influence of ischemia on heart electrical activity was reviewed. In the last part, morphological parameters calculated from EG beats were statistically analised with Kruskal-Wallis and Tukey-Kramer tests and also principal component analysis (PCA) and used as classification features to classify automatically four types of the beats. Classification was realized with four approaches such as discriminant function analysis, k-Nearest Neighbours, support vector machines, and naive Bayes classifier.
Analysis of Ventricular Repolarization Parameters
Abbrent, Jakub ; Novotná, Petra (referee) ; Hejč, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the analysis of ventricular repolarization parameters on experimental ECG records. In the beginning of the theoretical part there are included information about heart electrophysiology, fundamental principle of ECG and cellular basis of the T-wave formation. Next chapter is focused on methods used for the analysis of ventricular repolarization, especially spatial parameters including principal component analysis (PCA). Then, in the thesis, there is described the database of experimental ECG signals created from isolated rabbit hearts. In the practical part of this bachelor’s thesis, there are implemented spatial parameters on experimental ECG records. Implementation of algorithms is performed after initial data preparation. Then, there is performed analysis of relation between spatial and hemodynamic parameters and the relation is evaluated by statistical analysis.
Detection of ventricular premature beats in long-term ECG
Šagát, Martin ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Maršánová, Lucie (advisor)
The thesis deals with problems of premature ventricular complexes and ways of their detection. Heart’s basic physiological activities and the principle of their measurement are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. It deals specifically with the appearance and manifestations of ventricular extrasystoles in the ECG. The thesis also discusses various ways of detecting premature ventricular complexes. In this thesis, detection based on morphological features, wavelet transform and signal energy was used. All methods were implemented using Matlab and tested on all signals of the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database.
Exploitation of mycorrhizal symbiosis in vegetable young plant production
Šestáková, Tereza
This thesis is focused on mycorrhizal symbiosis in greengrocer production, shows general information about anatomy and distribution of mycorrhizal symbiosis. Summarized interesting scientific knowledge refers to the importance of the nutrient element, morphological changes and mycorrhizal metabolism which has the benefits in greengrocery and in seedlings propagation. In this work is also used good microscopical technologies, especially pictures which was taken by microscope. Thank to this was showed precise details of mycorrhiza anatomy and I can more clarified the all results of colonization rate. The practical part was focused on the study of the fungal colonization which had influence or not on selected vegetables. The aim was to evaluate the positive morphological development of the plants in mycorrhizal substrates and statistically confirm or not significant result.
Hodnocení vybraných druhů asijských salátů v podmínkách ČR
Nollová, Kateřina
The aim of this master thesis is to compare cultivars of asparagus lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var. angustana L. H. Bailey) and Indian lettuce (Lactuca indica L.). Five cultivars of asparagus lettuce and one cultivar of Indian lettuce were included in the experiment. Morphological parameters, yields and content substances (vitamin C, carotenoids, nitrates and dry matter) were evaluated. The experiment was successfully carried out on the grounds of the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice in years 2015 and 2016. Contents of vitamin C, carotenoids, nitrates and dry matter were subsequently evaluated in a laboratory. The share of domestic production in the total consumption of vegetables in the Czech Republic could be enhanced by expanding the range of other, valuable, Asian asparagus and Indian lettuces.

Evaluation of morphological and functional parameters of physical fitness by using the escalating exercise test for students of the sports high school.
Boháčová, Michaela ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
1 The Abstract The subjekt of the dissertation: Evaluation of morphological and functional parameters of physical fitness by using the escalating exercise test for students of the sports high school in Ostrava. The objectives of the dissertation: The main aim of this dissertation is to evaluate the changes of morphological and functional parameters after the annual training cycle for the students of a sports high school, using the escalating exercise test on the bicycle ERGO meter during sports medical examination. Methodology: Research investigation was carried out in the preparatory period for all students tested in 2012 and then in 2013 after annual training. In preparation for the investigation were included 101 students of a sports high school in the field of sports preparation. They were divided into 4 experimental groups: women up to 15 years of age, males up to 15 years, women over 15 years of age and men over 15 years. There were involved the competitors of following disciplines in the investigation - sports-judo, athletics, volleyball, swimming, basketball, sports and modern gymnastics. We measured the indicators of morphological parameters of physical fitness using bioelectrical impedance (BIA), which provided us with the results of the body fat, body weight and BMI. Body height was measured...

Horticulture production in conditions of Sub-Sahara Africa
Milanda, Johannes
This paper was written to provide the literature review on the topic of horticultural production in Namibia or in neighboring countries, with a focus on vegetable species. To suggest a prospective representative vegetable species from the study area, which could have production potential in the Czech Republic. Four chosen cultivars (Metro, Nakare, Bira and Shidimba) from the Cowpea (Vigna uinguiculata L Walp) species were experimentally tested in conditions of the Czech Republic. They were grown naturally extensively with no fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides used. They're morphological parameters were then recorded and laboratory analyzed using ANOVA and three valuables [flavonoids, total antioxidants capacity (TAC) and polyphenols] were determined using different methods with the spectrophotometry.
