The security of operating systems for mobile devices

This term paper explains the concepts related to security of mobile devices. The first chapter acquainted with how to develop mobile operating systems and what types are found on the market today. Then the work explains the basic types of attacks and security vulnerabilities. Further work is discussed in the most famous and most popular operating systems, from their basic descriptions, architecture, and then security. In the eighth chapter of this work is a basic description and explanation of the function code itself created by malicious applications. The chapter contains weaknesses of the Android operating system used by the application, opportunities spread of malware and protect against possible attack. In the last chapter is contained laboratory task that acquaints students with the Android operating system and focuses on knowledge inappropriately protocols used to communicate with the Internet applications.
Platform for Safe File Transfer among Mobile Devices

The thesis deals with safe files transfer among mobile devices .  The first part of this thesis is the analysis and review of current   solutions for transferring files among mobile devices and complex   security solutions for Android operating system. The second part  describes the design and evaluation of several concepts for encrypted files transfer among groups of regular users and outside the company or institution . One of the concepts for file transfer among users   was chosen for implementation on the Android platform . The last part  of the thesis describes the problems that can occur during   the implementation , their solution , and finally the verification  and validation of the concept itself .
GSM Alarm Support on Mobile Device

This master's thesis describes the mobile application that provides the support to control the GSM/GPS alarms. Based on the possibilities of modern security equipment and mobile devices, the application adds new functionality for these alarms. This work mainly describes selecting the appropriate mobile platform, application designs and the independence on the specific alarm. In conclusion, the results and possible extension of the application are talked over.
Tracking Data on Mobile Devices

This thesis researches the possibilities of tracking mobile device data and their movement. It encompasses the division of the mobile operating systems market and also the importance of security solutions in business sector. Thanks to comparing the possibilities of development and security elements of individual platforms, the overview of importance is completed. The thesis also contains developed applications on Android and BlackBerry OS platforms for recording tracked data, a server application for their collection and a iOS application on PhoneLogs for their wholesale viewing. Accessing these records is possible after a successful authentication, individual databases are encrypted and communication secured with an SSL certificate.

Technology of GIS in mobile equipment

The aim of this work is to provide an overview of modern geoinformation systems operating on mobile technology platform. Selected technologies were evaluated by the students of elementary and secondary schools developed using test materials. In the introductory part of the paper briefly describes the current available technology smart phones and tablets focusing comparison platform iOS and Android. The second part of presents an overview of available geo-information software with a focus on free downloadable programs. The third part presents a critical evaluation of the functional parameters of the software. The following are the positive and negative aspects of the applications evaluated and compared to the available free downloadable programs with paid programs. The last part focuses on the possibility of integrating geo-information systems on the platform of smartphones and tablets in teaching primary and secondary schools. Their use in teaching could change students' view of current spatial information systems and could increase their popularity and practical use.
