Jakub Růžička Techn(olog)ická revoluce ve vzdělávání: zvyklosti a postoje žáků devátých tříd ZŠ ke studiu a samostudiu uvnitř reformujícího se školství Bakalářská práce Abstract The impossibility of mastering the entire existing knowledge of humankind, which means entire knowledge that has been produced up to know, by independent and individual human being, and also the development and massive expansion of computer technologies and the Internet, imply the necessity of rethinking current educational practices. Despite that, implementing new means of education, progressive didactic methods and crossing the boundaries of study and self-study, is being obstructed by institutional conventional educational system and related methods. Even thought the system responds to the transformation of the labour market, it does not put the main emphasis on information technologies, which are great facilitators in achieving these goals. The ongoing reform of the Czech educational system has the spirit of broader European reforms. Cooking Stone Soup: Porous Workforce Training at the Czech National Library of Technology as a Supplement to (Impermeable) University Education

As in many other countries around the world, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) libraries in the Czech Republic are facing the difficult challenge of meeting the rapidly-evolving service needs of the communities they support in an environment in which the current university educational system does not provide graduates—neither those from STEM subjects nor those graduating from Czech library/information professional schools—with the appropriate set of skills needed for working in today’s specialized information provision settings. As a result, the Czech National Library of Technology (NTK) has been forced to provide on-the-job workforce training since early 2015 to its reference, instructional, and front-lines services staff simply in order to keep pace with STEM library developments outside the Czech Republic. This weekly workforce training effort, christened NTKu (short for NTKyouniversity), does not resemble traditional university education with its rigid structures and focus on the attainment of a degree. NTKu is, instead, porous: traditional “impermeable,” less flexible university curricula are supplemented with on-demand, ever-changing targeted instruction on specific issues, topics, and skills applied immediately to real-work settings. This manner of instruction, as the authors discuss in the paper, can yield highly effective results; however, unique challenges can emerge in an instructional environment lacking traditional measures of effectiveness (i.e., grades) and requiring voluntary participation by both learners and instructors. Such porous instructional efforts resemble those of open source software (OSS) communities, in which voluntary effort can produce results benefiting a particularly community—but only to the degree of investment provided by contributors. Such initiatives resemble cooking stone soup: the results can be tasty, but everyone involved needs to bring something to the table.

Future tense markers in present-day English

This thesis deals with the verbal category of future time and future tense markers in present-day English. The next part of the work is the characteristic of the Youth and Children organization, didactic treatment of the indicative of three basic future tenses using the project education aimed to younger school-aged children and the last part of the work analyzes the knowledge of the elder school-aged children using the questionnaire investigation.

Subject matters on inquiry based teaching/ learning in educational programme for Zoo Ohrada Hluboká nad Vltavou

The diploma thesis on the topic of Subject Matters for Inquiry Based Education of Biogeography in Educational Programmes for ZOO Ohrada in Hluboká nad Vltavou consists of two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is formed by research of literature, in which the author of the thesis discusses literature which was used as a source of information for further processing. The diploma thesis also describes methods used in the theoretical part and for creation of own teaching materials. The author describes importance of extracurricular teaching in ZOO Ohrada Hluboká nad Vltavou and characterizes Inquiry Based Education. The practical part focuses on description and realization of the educational programme as such. Three subject matters of educational programme were made in total. Topics of the programmes are based on the concept of Educational programme in ZOO Ohrada in Hluboká nad Vltavou and characterize representatives of animal groups of snakes, birds and predators. Concept of all the programmes is the same. Each programme includes four parts presentation, practical activity of pupils, competition and working sheets for home.

Activity, indepedence and creativity of children and adults in extracurricular environment

The bachelor thesis entitled Activity, Independence and Creativity of Children and Adults in Extracurricular Environment is focused on the development of skills which were mentioned in the title of the thesis. The theoretical part therefore deals with the definition of basic terms and approaches of different sciences and authors. It is also important to point to the differences among formal, informal and experiential education. Then the thesis proceeds to the demarcation of extracurricular education within leisure time. People spend their leisure time differently and therefore there are also mentioned various space and surroundings where they can go in for their leisure time activities. People should keep to certain unwritten rules when they are in mutual contact and when they communicate with each other and that is why the theoretical part pays attention also to prosocial behaviour which is very often the goal of ethical education. This behaviour is focused primarily on communication and the ability to hold a dialogue. The task of the practical part is to compile a catalogue of games which would not only encourage the development of prosocial behaviour, but would also contribute to the development of activity, independence and creativity of people of different ages. Some erudite experts will express their opinion on the final project and consider its benefit at the end of the thesis.

Invertebrates in Human Habitats as a matter in Extracurriular Education

The Bachelor thesis deals with synanthropic invertebrates. Through the research itself, their presence in selected households was being investigated. The results were compared with literature data. Based on both literature and research data, a project for extracurricular science education was made. Its topic is Expedition Tracing Invertebrates in Human Habitats.

Comparison of free-time activities offered by non-governmental non-for-profit organizations in České Budějovice from the viewpoint of support of Roma children integration at basic schools

The thesis deals with comparison of use of free-time activities offered by non-governmental non-for-profit organizations (NNO) in České Budějovice with activities offered by basic schools (ZŠ), as one of possibilities to support integration of Roma children in the educational process. The theoretical part presents the issue of integration in general and also in respect to the target group of Roma people and Roma children attending regular basic schools. The thesis also briefly summarizes the problems of the Roma minority and their impacts on life in the society. The last chapter of the theoretical part is dedicated to NNOs in České Budějovice in respect to Roma children and their integration at school and also the content free-time activities organized by those organizations and their impacts on integration of Roma children at basic schools. The practical part of the thesis used a research investigation with qualitative strategy, performed by means semi-structured interviews. The objective of the thesis was to determine the level of utilization of free-time activities offered to the target group of Roma children by NNOs as one of the opportunities to support their integration, while the activities are intermediated not only by the basic schools but also by NNOs that focus on the mentioned target group.

LMS Moodle patří mezi nejvyspělejší a nejrozšířenější systémy pro řízení elektronického vzdělávání vůbec. Cílem příspěvku je představit tento e-learningový nástroj z různých pohledů tak, jak jej běžně nevídáme a ukázat pokročilé a uživateli oceňované vlastnosti včetně speciálních rozšiřujících modulů. Příspěvek tak nebude zaměřen na šedivou teorii, ale zajímavé aspekty a ukázky využití LMS Moodle v reálné praxi.

Analýza potřebnosti a využívání environmentálních center na území České republiky

Zkoumanou skupinou byla střediska a insituce provádějící EVVO v mimoškolní oblasti a okrajově též instituce tuto činnost plánující a mající pro ni potenciál. Práce se zabýva evaulací a efektivitou programů, které střediska připravují. V příloze je uveden seznam jednotlivých ORP dle IDC EVVO
