Burian, Oskar ; Ehler, Edvard (advisor) ; Vančata, Václav (referee)
Objectives: To find basic information and the concept of interdisciplinary teaching and its possible inclusion in lessons. Describe selected activation methods in teaching in general and in teaching human biology. To analyze selected frequently used textbooks for pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary school, containing the topic of the muscular system as a suitable topic for the interdisciplinary connection of biology and physical education in the context of the frequency of impulses for the implementation of physical activities and containing the interdisciplinary connection of the above mentioned subjects. Design and implement the teaching of the muscular system with activation methods and cross-curricular elements and find out what the students' attitude towards it is. Using a knowledge test, compare pupils who have completed activation and interdisciplinary teaching with pupils who have undergone frontal theoretical teaching of the same topic. Methods: Two methods were used for the research investigation. An online questionnaire regarding the attitude of students, created in Google forms, allowing students to comment on the lessons with closed and open questions, with a guarantee of anonymity. The second method of research is a knowledge test, created for the purpose of the thesis, which was...
Picture and Scheme in Teaching of Selected Topics of Cytology
Štindl, Přemysl
Dissertation deals with the image didactic means used for the teaching of selected chapters of cytology. Scientific illustration - which is the image and the scheme - meets two roles as far as the biology is concerned: scientific and aesthetic. These two spheres do not exclude each other. On the contrary, by their interconnection and applying interdisciplinary relations of the biology and the fine arts it is possible to vary and upgrade the teaching of those two subjects.

The thesis deals with the topic of "Health education at primary school level" and implementation of project teaching with emphasis on inter-subject relations. The main objective of the thesis is an outline of a teaching program focused on health education at primary school level. The first part covers the the phenomenon of health in the society, health terminology and documents related to health education. Further on, the thesis introduces the "Health-supporting school program" formed to support health education in daily school activities, and thus reach the education goals at an affective level. A special emphasis is put on education to self-competence in information search and in use of textbooks and literature. The second part of the thesis addresses the use of projects at the primary school level and the implementation of a 2 nd grade project focused on learning about the human body. At this point, I find the project education a suitable teaching method, effective in developing the learners' required competencies. In the research part I gather the extent of popularity of project education at primary school level on part of the teachers and point at possible complications or difficulties at its implementation.
