The impact of the activities of LAG Aktivios for the development of the region

The cooperation of the population, non-profit organizations, the private business sphere and the public administration is called the local action group. This is a group that helps from the idea, through its financing to the actual realization. It supports the development of business, takes care of the landscape and develops education. All this contributes to the overall development of the region, which is the main goal of this work. The theoretical part contains a basic definition of concepts related to the development of the region with the help of local action groups of the Czech Republic. Subsequently, the connections with regional development, cooperation of municipalities, the LEADER method or Community-led local development and its strategy are defined. Furthermore, this part provides a comprehensive view of the issue of the influence of the local action group in the development of the region. An integral part describes the influence of LAGs on the development of regional planning and association into the national network and regional associations of LAGs within the country. The practical part brings findings from the questionnaire survey and direct analysis and synthesis of the evaluation of the activities of Aktivios within its contribution to the development of the region. The evaluation of the final outputs is further based on a structured interview provided to me by the chairman of the Regional Association of the National Network LAGs of the Czech republic of the Pilsen Region. The results of the thesis bring proposals for possible changes in the management of LAG Aktivios, Especially in evaluating the results of the position of the LAG for the past programming period.
Evaluation of Local Action Groups' Activity

The thesis deals with action of local action groups (LAGs) in the Czech Republic at the beginning of the new programming period. During the last seven years, LAGs proved to be an ideal cooperation platform of local actors, which leads to the integrated development of its home territory. The aim of this work is to evaluate the activity of LAGs, with an emphasis on the process of social networking, sectors cooperation at the local level, promote economic activities LAGs and ensure their operation. Analysis of the functioning of LAGs was based on guided interviews with LAG managers or LAG directors, and representatives of rural development institutions. Selection of interviewed LAG representatives was based on the LAGs evaluation from 2010, 2011 and 2012. Results of guided interviews with LAGs' representatives and experts served to define the barriers that currently impede the development of rural areas through the LEADER method and community planning. Furthermore, the results of field research confirmed that LAGs activity supports the development of social networks in its home territory and breaking down barriers between public, private and non-profit sectors.
Networks of Actors of Regional Development in Local Action Group Pošumaví

The thesis deals with actors'network problems of regional development in the Local Action Group Pošumaví (LAG). The aim is to assess the functioning of networks within the Local Action Group Pošumaví focusing on the existence of networks, their activity and permeability and the way and intensity of involvement of the regional development actors in those networks. In the context of the institutional framework conditions of the local action groups a questionnaire survey together with guided interviews with actors LAG were analyzed. The results show that in the current programming period, the Local Action Group Pošumaví formed the network, but the cooperation is not very intensive. On the other hand, part of the actors of the regional development want to be more involved in LAG in the future, which can lead to extending and deepening of the existing cooperation.
The Position of the of Local Action Groups in the Czech Countryside

This thesis focuses on the topic of local action groups in the area of the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to discover what is the conternporary status of the local action groups in the Czech rural area. The research is based on the evaluation of the local action groups done by their members and also on an analysis of activities of the local action groups. The research was done in three local action groups which were chosen to be supported in the program LEADER in the period 2007-2013. The thesis comes out of the assumption that the activities done by the local action groups can influence their position in the rural area. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of term "country", approach to the rural development, method LEADER, program LEADER and the term of local action groups are introduced in this part. The practical part of the thesis is the research itself. The analysis of documents and questionnaire investigation by the members of LAG should confirm or deny the stated hypothesis.

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the application of the LEADER method and compares its particular indicators in different countries of the European Union. The thesis consists of three sections. The first part explains the basic terminology regarding of the issue. It also includes further details of the analyzed environment and the tools needed for the implementation of the LEADER method into the policies of the Member States of the European Union. The second section focuses on the comparison of selected indicators in observed countries in 2007-2013. The selected indicators are the number of local action groups in each country, their area, the number of people living in the territory covered by the local action groups and the absorption capacity of the projects financed by the local action groups. Furthermore, the thesis compares the financial resources to support the LEADER directed to specific areas, namely competitiveness, environment and land management and the quality of life. In the final part are evaluated the results of executed comparisons.

Diploma thesis deals with the role of Local Action Groups in rural development. The main objective of this work is to evaluate this role and contribution of LAGs operations in rural areas based on case study of LAG Vyškovsko, z. s. Analysis of region, supported projects from IV. Leader axis and evaluation of the survey found out that LAG Vyškovsko, z. s. contributes to the advancement of rural area and improves local quality of life. Its role in rural development is unquestionable. Whether that applies in other LAGs must be investigated by further analyses. The conclusion discusses the idea of a consistent methodology for evaluating activities of LAGs which has not yet been written up.
Strategy of community-led local development (2014-2020) SCLLD

The aim of the paper was the comparison of performance indicators of selected local action groups for the program period of 2007-2013. For the comparison, the Local Action Group Blatensko and the Local Action Group Strakonicko were selected. Both groups are located in South Bohemia and were suitable for comparison. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of the LEADER method, its principles, history and origin. Then the focus shifts on explaining terms such as local action group, their standards, community-led local development, evaluation and monitoring. In the practical part, selected performance indicators which are used to evaluate LAG activity were analyzed. The result of this work was evaluation and comparison of selected LAGs. According to the analyzes, we have concluded that LAG Strakonicko is more successful and more efficient. The reason is better processing of the strategic plan and the Strategic document LEADER 2007-2013 itself.
