The role of a social worker during integration of clients working in prostitution industry

The aim of this thesis is the introduction of resocialisation process of women offering paid sexual services and methods, which are used by social workers during interactions with female prostitutes. Furthermore, this thesis introduces selected organisations, which help aforementioned women. The first chapter of this thesis explains the concept and meaning of prostitution and personality traits and typology of women offering paid sexual services. Further, types, forms of prostitution and what motivates women to enter prostitution is explained. This chapter also briefly summarizes the history of prostitution from antiquity to contemporary society. Second chapter consists of czech legislative, which defines legality of prostitution and related phenomena. Third chapter explains the process of resocialisation itself, what accompanies leaving the sex business and narrative of two sexual workers, who managed to leave the sex business. This chapter is also comprised of method used by social workers during their interactions with female prostitutes and possibilities of preventing the exclusion of prostituting women from legal labour market. In this chapter are also mentioned organisations, which are helping this specific group. In particular, organisation ROZKOŠ bez RIZIKA and La Strada.
Ways and difficulties of social work with a client having suffered an injury with permanent consequences

The bachelor thesis "Ways and Difficulties of Social Work with a Client Having Suffered an Injury with Permanent Consequences" is dealing with specifics of social work with a client who has suffered an injury resulting in irreversible damage of a part of his body. Special attention is paid to injuries of cervical spine area and the spinal cord. The introduction lists potential permanent consequences and their impact to the client, i.e. physical, psychological and social impacts. The thesis is discussing the needs of a client after an injury with permanent consequences as well as the opportunities for cooperation of social workers, physicians, nurses, psychologists and other healthcare professionals. Further on, it deals with accessibility of information and services to the client and also with opportunities and difficulties of social work with such a client. The thesis contains also several case histories of clients who have suffered an injury in the area of the cervical spine and the spinal cord resulting in reduction or loss of function of their lower and upper limbs, in reduction of movability, self-care ability and chances for self- realization. Comparison of Systems of Social and Legal Protection of Children in the Czech Republic and in Finland

The thesis briefly describes basic terms, international acts and legislation which relate to the social and legal protection of children. In greater detail, it goes over the individual components of Czech and Finnish systems of social and legal protection of children. Afterwards, both systems and its positives and negatives are compared and the main advantages of Finnish system which could be beneficial four the Czech system are described. To achieve the goals, the information from the literature are used together with the survey in which participated social workers from the Czech Republic and Finland.
The logical breakthrough of logotherapy and existential analysis into social work with over-indebted clients

This work deals with the topic how to help the over-indebted clients. The theoretical part describes the term over-indebtedness, its forms and the ways of help provided to the people with such problems. The closer interest is put on how these people can be helped by social work, which methods are suitable and relevant to this type of work and how these methods are defined in specialized literature and corresponding legislation. The practical part of this work focuses on the form of help to these people within a specific organization that provides social services and works for the over-indebted clients. Using some case studies the work describes some particular cases and methods of work which were applied. Concerning the methods of work with these clients, the thesis describes the elements of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis which are used by social workers while working with their clients. Further on, the thesis describes the social workers' attitudes, their experiences with their clients and points out some existential questions they deal with, especially from the perspective of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis.

Annotation: The aim of the thesis " Methods of Social Work in Families with a Child in the Terminal Phase of a Disease" is to answer the basic research question, which reads: "How do the social workers of selected Prague organizations focusing on child palliative care perceive the application of methods of social work with child clients in the terminal stage of the disease? " A partial aim of this thesis is to describe the current state of child palliative care in the Czech Republic. The purpose of this diploma thesis is not to map all the methods of social work that could be used in practice, but to note the seriousness, the topicality of the problems and to point out the different perception of the given situation.
