Bakalářská práce "Možnosti a úskalí sociální práce s klientem po úrazu s trvalými následky" pojednává o specifikách sociální práce u klienta, který utrpěl zranění, v jehož důsledku došlo k nenávratnému poškození části těla. Zvýšená pozornost je věnována zejména úrazům v oblasti krční páteře a míchy. Úvodní část obsahuje výčet možných trvalých následků úrazů a jejich dopad na klienta, tj. následky fyzické, psychické a sociální. Práce se zabývá potřebami klienta po úrazu s trvalými následky a možnostmi spolupráce sociálních pracovníků, lékařů, sester, psychologů a dalších pracovníků ve zdravotnictví. Dále dostupností informací a služeb pro klienta, a také možnostmi a úskalími sociální práce s takovýmto klientem. Součástí práce jsou rovněž kazuistiky několika klientů, kteří utrpěli úraz v oblasti krční páteře a míchy. V důsledku toho došlo k omezení či ztrátě funkce dolních a horních končetin, omezení pohyblivosti, schopnosti sebepéče a možnosti sebeuplatnění. V závěru práce jsou zhodnoceny možnosti sociální práce s klientem po úrazu s trvalými následky a také diskutována problematika, možnosti a úskalí sociální práce ve zdravotnictví. The bachelor thesis "Ways and Difficulties of Social Work with a Client Having Suffered an Injury with Permanent Consequences" is dealing with specifics of social work with a client who has suffered an injury resulting in irreversible damage of a part of his body. Special attention is paid to injuries of cervical spine area and the spinal cord. The introduction lists potential permanent consequences and their impact to the client, i.e. physical, psychological and social impacts. The thesis is discussing the needs of a client after an injury with permanent consequences as well as the opportunities for cooperation of social workers, physicians, nurses, psychologists and other healthcare professionals. Further on, it deals with accessibility of information and services to the client and also with opportunities and difficulties of social work with such a client. The thesis contains also several case histories of clients who have suffered an injury in the area of the cervical spine and the spinal cord resulting in reduction or loss of function of their lower and upper limbs, in reduction of movability, self-care ability and chances for self- realization.
