The Bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of the economic effectiveness of an investment project conducted in a chosen company. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical one and an analytical one. The theoretical part is focused on an explanation of basic investment concepts and description of methods that are employed in the analytical part. The practical part deals with investment evaluation in a particular company by means of selected methods.

Risk Management Related to the Implementation of Smart Technologies

The author of the diploma thesis deals with the risks associated with the implementation of smart technologies in the production process. The purpose is to analyze, describe and evaluate the current situation in Industry 4.0 in the Czech Republic and abroad. Subsequently, corrective measures will be proposed to improve the current status. The output of the thesis is a proposal for risk management in the implementation related to the automation and digitization of the production process.

The Open Blanking

This paper is elaborated in frame of bachelor’s study programme B3S-P. It presents a study focused on technology of metal forming. It concentrates mainly on the open blanking. The study deals with the topic of cutting technology. In the first part is described the issue of cutting and the second part is focused specifically on the open blanking. It describes in detail methods of shearing. For each of these methods, there are listed and summarized brief principles, problematics of used methods, examples of machines and tools combined with suitability for their use.

Company Performance Measurement

The main objective of this thesis is to compare business performance of the company as Brněnské komunikace a.s. with similarly focused companies in the same industry and similar ownership structure and portfolio activities, and these companies are TSK Praha a.s. and Ostravské komunikace a.s.. This thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on mapping information from the scientific literature. In the practical part of the thesis there is carried out a comparison of selected company with businesses listed above (TSK Praha a.s. and Ostravské komunikace a.s.). Part of this thesis is a detailed analysis of the company's performance and its own proposal to improve the current situation and the conditions for implementation of the proposal. There is also provided a detailed schedule of the proposal. In this thesis it was found that the company Brněnské komunikace a.s. as is financially healthy and prosperous. Main method used int this thesis is benchmarking.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of risk management in restaurant Grandezza. It deals with the application of methods and analysis for risk assessment. Values analyzed will result in measures designed to reduce the identified risks in Grandezza restaurant. The work is focused on three parts. The first part is focused on the current state and the chosen methodology, which is followed by the part. Of the solved issue. The last part contents measures that lead to the reduction of the risks in the restaurant Grandezza.

Time management in construction company managerial work

The goal of the thesis is to find out if manager in the area of building uses the methods of time management for the planning of work and tasks. At the beginning of theoretical part is the basic definition of the „time management“, assessment of the goals and the priorities, explanation of the methods used by time management and how to manage effectively. This part of the thesis deals with the downside as well – procrastination. Shows this downside as inability to manage the time management. The methods of time management are described and history of this methods as well. The second – practical part of the thesis – contains proposed hypotheses what investigate how the time management is in reality used by building managers, how helps the electronics and if managers prefer the working time. The author tries this hypotheses to confirm or to refute using the survey and structured interviews in selected building companies. The results of the thesis are suitable recommendations for more effective planning of the time and avoidance the mistakes in this area.

Surface tension measurements

The thesis deals with study of surface tension of liquids and measuring possibilities of this parameter. The paper is then focused on design of measuring apparatus based on pendant drop method. The apparatus is controlled with software written in Matlab. Several measurements are done at the end of this work, which confirm possibility to practical use of this apparatus for surface tension measurements. A part of this work is manual to use the apparatus and complete design documentation.
