Use of orienteering in the 1st grade of elementary school

This thesis focuses on the utilization of orienteering as an educational tool at the primary level of elementary school. Its aim is to create a methodological guide for teachers that will help them incorporate orienteering into their teaching. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter defines the issue of fulfilling educational goals in relation to the curriculum: the second chapter explores the younger school-aged child and their development in terms of orientation and movement capabilities: and the third part is devoted to the characteristics of orienteering, including its basic principles, history, and the evolution of the sport. The practical part focuses on the creation of a methodological guide for teachers. It provides specific information on how to integrate orienteering into teaching at the primary level of elementary school. The guide includes games and activities that progressively increase in difficulty. The outcome of this work is a comprehensive methodological guide that provides teachers with resources and ideas for effectively incorporating orienteering into their teaching at the primary level.
