Membrane technologies for agricultural wastewater treatment
Uhlířová, Marcela ; Touš, Michal (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with an agricultural wastewater treatment (liquid digestate) by membrane technology. There is a fundamental description of characteristics of membrane technology with regard to application of agricultural wastewater treatment in this thesis. Experimental device for treatment of liquid digestate is designed and it consists of three steps – microfiltration, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. The first step consists of four filters with different pore sizes (80, 25, 10 and 5 µm). The second step is ultrafiltration and the third and key step is reverse osmosis. In the final step monovalent ions such as NH4+ are separated. Reverse osmosis consists of two stage system which results in higher recovery. Three experiments were carried out in order to verify the efficiency of separation dissolved solids.
Polypropylene membranes and their use
Strunga, Alan ; Bartuli, Erik (referee) ; Kůdelová, Tereza (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis is focused on polymeric membranes with additional focus on membranes produced from polypropylene. The main physicochemical properties of the membranes are discussed together with procedures and measuring devices suitable for their determination. Also discussed here are the most common production and modification methods, potential applications in the industry and the drawbacks that still limit widespread use. This works should provide basic information about the applications of hydrophobic membranes within the membrane technology.
Technology of wastewater reuse
Velikovská, Kristýna ; Raček,, Jakub (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents the knowledge of wastewater reuse. The theoretical part of the thesis describes types of wastewater (greywater, brownwater, and yellow-water) and their characteristics. Further, the theoretical part describes the possibilities of re-use of wastewater as a source of water in detail, including treatment technology, and the heat recuperation from wastewater. The practical part of the thesis uses gained knowledge for designing a greywater treatment and heat recovery technology of grey water in an apartment complex.
Upgrading of industrial WWTP´s in company BOSCH Diesel ltd.
Koláček, Ivo ; Hluštík, Petr (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about industrial wastewater treatment plant. The first part of thesis decides whether the choice of intensification was the right solution. The next part is about industrial wastewater treatment plant after intensification and decides about the correctness of the intensification. In the penultimate part is made a project for further use of purifed water. The last part is giving options for improving cleaning efficiency in small reservoir.
Sewer mining
Šebek, Josef ; Macsek, Tomáš (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents the topic of waste water reuse straight from the sewer system (sewer mining). It contains energy recovery (heat recovery in particular) from sewer system as well as wastewater treatment and reuse in demanded locations, in compliance with the policies of circular economy. The first part contains research of wastewater topic. Individual components of municipal wastewater, treatment and reuse options are characterized in this part of thesis followed by more detailed description of methods and technologies for heat recuperation from wastewater; and available technologies for sewer mining options at the end of the first part. The second part contains a technical study about wastewater heat recovery on a specific location.
