Study of the influence of nanoparticles on water properties
Šram, Matěj ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Řezáčová, Veronika (advisor)
This work deals with the study of the influence of platinum nanoparticles with a size of 3 nm on the properties of water in a porous system. SiO2 with a defined pore size was used as a porous system, which can simulate the mineral component of the soil. The theoretical part deals with the properties of free and porous water and the impact of nanoparticles on the environment. In the experimental part, the properties of free water, water in the porous system and the influence of the presence of platinum nanoparticles on these systems are investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The observed processes were melting, solidification and evaporation, and derived quantities such as crystallization and melting point.
Manufacture of aluminium alloy castings
Moravec, Lukáš ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
This thesis deals with the production of castings of aluminum alloys with a focus on a comparison of the melting process in the gas, crucible, tilting furnaces with melting in gas, shaft furnaces. Resolves proposal links the advantages of both types of melting furnaces into a single unit. The work includes economic evaluation of cost and projected savings in the operation of the new kiln unit.
History of ferrous alloys manufacture in the Foundry of ŽĎAS, a. s.
Nejedlý, Tomáš ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis describes the history of modern age of steel production in Ţďár region, and the history of metallurgical engineering company ŢĎAS. The work is divided into the theoretical part of the steel production on electric arc furnaces along with brief history from steel production in bloomery furnace to the modern steel manufacturing technology - secondary metallurgy. The second part describes the history of steel production in Ţďár region until the formation of metallurgical engineering company ŢĎAS, and consequently the company development from the construction to the present day. The thesis are focused on the development of secondary metallurgy by which the ŢĎAS company can reach the steel with high level of micro cleanness and high level of mechanical properties. Using by this technology the company can extend its product range by introducing new steel grades. Thanks to the continuous progress and efforts to achieve the best results in steel quality, the ŢĎAS company be among the largest producer of quality steel not only in the Czech Republic.
Castings from TiAl alloys for the IC engines
Kašpar, Jan ; Záděra, Antonín (referee) ; Zemčík, Ladislav (advisor)
The bachelor tesis is focused on intermetalic alloys of TiAl. Analysis of microstructure including heat threatment and alloying. Next part is focused on melting and casting TiAl including safety of work and recyklation. Last chapter is developed to apllication mainly engine valves.
Review of materials used for the manufacturing by the Selective Laser Melting technology
Skalický, Petr ; Vrána, Radek (referee) ; Koukal, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis aims to provide an overview of metallic materials (powders), which are used in the manufacture of parts and models with SLM (Selective Laser Melting) technology. It contains basic information about Rapid Prototyping (RP) technology and more detailed description of basic methods of RP, especially SLM. Next is a description of manufacture powders methods and its properties. The last section contains an overview of powdery materials as powders made of pure metal (one kind of metal material) and powders produced from metal alloys. This review focuses on the most important and most widely used materials for the manufacture of parts using SLM.
A Stefan problem of heat conduction with phase change and its exact solution
Kesler, René ; Mauder, Tomáš (referee) ; Klimeš, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with analytical solutions of heat conduction problems with phase change which are known as classical Stefan problems. At the beginning a differential equation of heat conduction is derived and a mathematical model of Stefan problem is formed. The greatest attention is paid to the derivation of analytical solutions for cases in which these solutions are obtainable. The MATLAB environment was chosen for implementation of the obtained solutions. The thesis also includes a description of the program and its graphical interface in MATLAB. The applicability of the program is demonstrated in several phase change problems.
Castings from TiAl alloys for the turbochargers
Kudýn, David ; Malec, Silvestr (referee) ; Zemčík, Ladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of intermetallic alloys TiAl. First of all, it is analysed their properties and the way how they change depends on their treatment and influencing of alloying elements. Then ways of utilization in practice are stated here. Attention is concentrated especially on turbochargers wheel and their comparison to convention materials. After that individual options of melting and casting and materials for melting crucibles and moulds associated with them are there discussed. In the end, the thesis has analysed the ways of recycling of residual material.
