Fuzzy Markov chains and their use in risk management

This thesis deals with the application of Markov chains for the production of concrete products. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying the concepts of risk management and describes the procedures for dealing with classical Markov chains. There are presented basics of fuzzy logic and finally there is explained the procedure using fuzzy logic in calculating of classical Markov chains in the subsection entitled Fuzzy Markov chains. The practical part describes production process, namely concrete pavements. On this production process is applied knowledge from the theoretical part and there is a comparison and evaluation of two methods of Marcov chains calculation (classic and fuzzy approach).
Reliability assessment of selected process in non-manufacturing company

The subject of the diploma thesis Assessment of the reliability of a selected process in a non-manufacturing company is the analysis of the reliability of processes and their risks. The partial goals were to perform a professional literature search of valid standards and a system analysis concerning the issue of assessing the reliability of the selected process. The first part of the diploma thesis deals with the approach to selected concepts and tools that are used in this work. Furthermore, the author dealt with selected requirements of the relevant standards ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016, ČSN EN ISO 14001:2016 a ČSN ISO 45001:2018, which relate to the issues addressed. The practical part introduces the company, especially the division of the company related to the process. Subsequently, the process was processed into an integrated flowchart and assessed using quality tools, namely FMEA analysis and Internal Audit. Based on the results obtained using these tools, the analysis revealed relevant risks and findings. In the last part, the author compared and summarized the results of the assessment and the identified findings, for which he proposed appropriate preventive measures to improve the selected process. Finally, the own conclusions and proposed preventive measures are discussed.
Risk analysis and evaluation of a construction work in food industry operation from design to implementation

This thesis is dealing with analysis and evaluation of quantitative, environmental, safety risks and dangerous, application of suitable methods to the concrete building work, to the concrete conditions of the project, surroundings of the building site, construction contractor's firms and implementation building site into operation. From ČSN EN 31010 Risks management – Risks assessment techniques were selected for work tools – Analysis of potential defects and their consequences (FMEA), Universal Matrix of Risk Analysis (UMRA), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Pareto diagram. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and assess the quality, environmental and safety risks of selected construction process and conditions established and integrated management system to handle simple tools for the management and elimination.
Risk Management inside Construction Company

The aim of the master‘s thesis is to process risk management in a construction company. The master‘s thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part, risk management is solved and the basic theory belonging to this issue is presented. In the second, practical part, the issue of risk management in a construction company is applied to a specific implemented construction contract. The output of the work is the processing and evaluation of risks and the implementation of a proposal for the treatment of unacceptable and serious risks.

This thesis focuses on the theoretical description of risk management options related to information technologies and describes methods used to risk analysis. Described methods are fault tree analysis, event tree analysis, FMEA, HAZOP and Markovov analysis. Practical part includes proposal and implementation of program that visualizes decision trees and determines probability of each tree item.
Prevention of Human Factor Failure in Hazardous Activities

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of human failures during the risk activities. The aim of the work is to apply risk analysis to the operation of a selected unnamed company that processes vegetables. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part, the theoretical basis is discussed and serves as a basis for a better understanding of the topic and subsequent elaboration of the analytical part. The analytical part focuses on the characteristics of the selected company, organizational structure, working positions and the operation itself and analyses these issues with the focus on human factor. The last part of the diploma thesis is dealing with suggestions leading to the prevention of human failure in risk activities. The aim of these suggestions is to improve the situation of the company.
Audit of ageing management in plants at major accident hazard

This diploma thesis is focused on raising awareness of the phenomenon of ageing equipment. The aim was to analyse the current state of knowledge and to develop an ageing management audit method for the Czech Republic. The method was applied in a company located in the Zlín region. In the conclusion of the thesis, specific measures are formulated that the company should pay attention to.
System for Risk Management Support in IT Projects

The presented system is based on an in depth analysis of project and risk management in the field of information Technologies. The implementation started only after the exhaustive analyzation process. The system was implemented in programming language C#. On the database level MS SQL server is used.

The main subject of this Master's thesis is risk management with emphasis on risk analysis stage. All important stages, definitions and techniques are introduced in the context of risk management. There are several risk analysis methods discussed in this thesis, especially the Markov analysis and the Petri net analysis. After the thorough analysis of the subject, the system to support the risk management was designed and implemented, while precisely Markov analysis was chosen.
