Bullying in the Intensive Care Units

Bullying in the intensive care units. The main mission of this thesis is to describe an issue called mobbing. The primary target is to get information about rate of bullying in the intensive care units in south Bohemia, especially in Prachatice and Strakonice city and to know how many percent of employees / paramedics of the intensive care units were already touched by bullying. This kind of information we got by anonymous questionnaires, set up from 23 questions with open and closed form. In theoretical part I deal with actual status, explaining term of mobbing, bossing, causes of bullying, characteristic of the participants, bullying in the health service in the Czech republic. In the conclusion I show prevention and tolerance of mobbing and bossing. In practical part I point on assesment of hypothesis and evaluation of the target of my thesis. I suppose that the chicane show up in small measure on the workplace of the intensive care units. From my point of view I think that women working in the intensive care units are getting in a touch of bullying much more than men. In this part I want to show a methodology of research, parameter of complex and evaluation of research. In conclusion I get back to evaluation of research and starting a discussion. Two faces of ZOO - perception of zoos from the view of their supporters and opponents

Two faces of ZOO Perception of zoos from the view of their supporters and opponents The main topic of this thesis is a role of zoological gardens in the modern society, especially their importance to conservation of biodiversity as well as to progress in public education. I was interested not only in the opinions and the attitudes of the supporters of zoological gardens, but also in views of their opponents as the opposite side. In the case of the opponents I wanted to reveal if their criticism of zoos is based on negative emotions (bad feeling from breeding animals in captivity and thinking about their rights to freedom) or rise from real inadequacies (for example bad living conditions of animals). So in the theoretical part of the thesis I was concerned about contributions of zoological gardens in many ways as well as about their limitations, mostly mentioned by their opponents. To be more precise in drawing conclusions I made my own empirical research which was based on questionnaires and interviews with directors of certain zoos in the Czech Republic. The main aim of my research was not only a usual opinion poll, but also a detection of differences in opinions and personal characteristics between supporters and opponents of zoos. Student's knowledge of selected secondary schools in the field of child maltreatment

The aim of the thesis is to find out student's knowledges at the second level of primary scools in the field of child maltreatment. Research has been conducted using questionnaire investigation, which received pupils of the two selected primary schools. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. Theoretical part of this dissertation engages in physical child maltreatment and psychic child maltreatment. It also deals with definition of physical punishment and a description of the boundaries between physical punishment and physical maltreatment. The thesis engages in risk factors for the emergence of abuse from the side of the parents, from the side of children and the environment. It deals informations about behavior of the victim of maltreatment and consequences of abuse. One part of the teoretical part describes legal standards concern of child maltreatment and this section also includes a description of selected organizations dealing with the issue of the cruelty to child. The practical part deals with the verification of student's knowledge of selected secondary schools in the field of child maltreatment. The results of the survey are presented in tables and charts. Gardianship maltreatments and offences related to it.

Guardianship maltreatment is one of the most harmful crimes to a society, but the literature is somewhat neglected about it, for example, in comparison with the offense of battering a person living in common dwelling, namely domestic violence. Even so, it devotes some attention, at least that part of the issue related to the particular child victims of this crime. Crimes against persons who are unable to care for themselves on their own and are dependent on the care of another person who subsequently hurting is the socially very harmful or even liquidation. This offense is special both in terms of characteristics of the offender, and in terms of its subject, which is a victim of this crime. The most important peculiarity is that the object of attack is a person who is in the care of another. That person is helpless, unable to care for themselves properly. This is followed by another peculiarity of this crime, which is the relationship of the perpetrator to the victim. This has to be helping the victim in dealing with matters of everyday life and be so supportive to him. Instead, he uses this dependence, helplessness and utter reliance of the victim's person and tortures him. Children's Center of South Bohemia, o.p.s. in the system of care for abused and neglected children

My thesis is about children with CAN syndrome. Result of bad parenting children had to be placed in a facility for children requiring immediate assistance. My goal is to highlight the role of the Children's Center South Bohemian region as a subject in the care of the child at risk. The theoretical part deals with families who have problems with education and care for their children. I describe what the syndrome is neglected, maltreated and abused child. I describe the process of how a traumatized child gets into the facility for children needing immediate assistance. I am writing as the center helps. The practical part, I chose three families neglected and maltreated children who were placed in the Children's Center. I describe the complex conditions of the children and how the children in the children's center helped.

Educational program for parents about violance commited on children

Violence committed against children, especially physical maltreatment, abuse and neglect, is a theme which has recently been covered by media reports more and more often. It is a sad thing that in spite of a big amount of reported cases there is a lot of other ones which remain hidden behind the private household walls. Physical maltreatment, abusing and neglecting children is a very grave and interesting topic at the same time. I started being interested in it already at the secondary school. That is the reason why I have chosen this topic for my final bachelor thesis. The theoretical part focuses on family and child and their position in society. In this thesis we can find types of maltreatment, abusing and neglecting described. Further on we are getting to know the text characteristics, after - effects, victims and perpetrators of each kind of maltreatment. The aim of this work is to find problematic areas of violence committed against children where parents do not have enough information yet. The research was carried out using written questionnaire forms. These ones were handed out to parents of children attending 1st to 4th classes of elementary schools in Sazavka and Habry. In my thesis, three hypotheses have been set. The first one implies that the foreknowledge of the patents is closely connected with their age. This hypothesis has not been confirmed. The second one implies that the foreknowledge of the patents is closely connected with their education. This hypothesis has not been proved either. The last one implies that the parent who is informed should know at least one example of four essential types of maltreatnent. This hypothesis has been confirmed by the obtained results. According to answers, 87 % of parents have information on physical maltreatment, 86 % parents on psychical maltreatment, 74 % on sexual maltreatment and 33 % of parents know neglecting. On the basis of the obtained results it will be possible to make an educational programme for parents in the field of violence committed against children.

This work is about the problem of domestic violence, focused on person of the offender. It introduces the risk factors, which can lead to domestic violence and desribes some of the main characteristics of the offender according to specialized literature.
