The second part is devoted to determining the amount of property damage at a specific property, the calculation of this particular property which is based on technical surveys and subsequent valuation of the property with regard to the results of the survey. The aim is to create a design procedure for reducing the price of the property with the defect.
Pacemakers and electromagnetic interference
Lojková, Lea ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This work is focused on cardiac pacemakers and sources of electronic interference. The project partly follows another thesis made in the same field of interest (Ing. Kulík, Dept. of Control, Measurement and Instrumentation) and uses similar methodics of measurement. In the theoretical part of the work, the principles of nuclear magnetic resonance and magnetic resonance imaging are briefly explained and most common methods used in MRI are described, as well as the definition of a cardiac pacemaker, main events in pacemaker history and development. Cardiac pacemaker as a system is described in more detail, including construction, control, most common sensors and the ways of use. Electromagnetic interference of cardiac pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators is processed via a complete review since the oldest scientific paper from December 1991 till May 2009. In the second part, measuring of magnetic field is described, as well as the possibilities of monitoring of its effects on cardiac pacemakers. In fact, there are two possible ways of measuring. off-line exposition of the sample to the magnetic field followed by data acquisition via pacemaker programmer or the continuous on-line monitoring of the pacemaker activity by the means of measuring PC card. While the first method is reliable in cases where the is no sign of malfunction and makes the experiments with a dynamic exposition of sample possible, in some cases it detects a virtual malfunction also in cases where in reality the devices works perfectly. The second method enables a reliable continuous monitoring of pacemaker activity during the whole experiment and its only problem is a higher level of signal noise caused by the sample movement.
Reliability assessment of FPM
Němec, Ondřej ; Dvořák,, Ladislav (referee) ; Julínek, Tomáš (advisor)
The topic of this thesis was the evaluation of selected elements of flood control measures, abbreviated as PPO. The aim of this paper was to develop evaluation procedure of PPO and then to apply proposed procedure to a specific location. FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) that allows the identification of failure modes, their causes and consequences.was chose as a method for qualitative assessment.
Řízení integračních soustav
Meduna, Jakub
This thesis describes modern methods of controlling integration systems that are commonly found in practice all around us. The aim of this thesis was to select a suitable PID controller with two degrees of freedom to control these systems and to compare the results with classical PID regulation. The evaluation was based on comparing several typical criteria of quality. The results of the simulation experiments show that the regulation by the controller with two degrees of freedom, with certain requirements for the regulation way, does not always come out as a better option for controlling integration systems. The thesis concludes with a recommendation for the selection of a controller with two degrees of freedom and a recommended procedure for the selection of its parameteres.
Ergonomie a fyzioterapie jakožto funkční jednotka k prevenci rozvoje muskuloskeletálních onemocnění
COLLIN, Dominik
Musculoskeletal disorders are diseases of the muscles, tendons, joints, bones and nerves. The etiopathogenesis of these diseases is multifactorial, the workload combined with specific movement habits and stereotypes of the individual certainly plays a role. The term workload includes local and total muscle load, load handling and working positions in combination with workplace design, work aids and, for example, physical and chemical factors that affect the worker's well-being.Musculoskeletal disorders can affect any part of the body. Work-related musculoskeletal disorders can cause serious and long-lasting health problems that make a person disabled in both personal and professional life. Ergonomics deals with the relationship among man - work environment - job aids. It tries to make the activities as easy as possible for the employees so that they feel as comfortable as possible in the work environment and do not overload the musculoskeletal system unnecessarily. From the physiotherapist's point of view, the local muscle load, total muscle load, load handling and correct posture play a role. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the definition and division of ergonomics, skeletal and muscle anatomy, posture, ergonomic requirements in occupational exposure, risk factors and the end of the theoretical part has been devoted to the most common musculoskeletal health complications associated with occupational exposure. To create the practical part, I have chosen a qualitative research method. The research has been carried out in the office and in the small switchboards department, which is part of the company ENGEL engineering company Ltd. Three probands from this department have been selected for research. After performing a kinesiological analysis and ergonomic investigation at the workplace, an individual therapeutic plan and recommendations for ergonomic adjustments in the occupational exposure have been created.
The influence of postural stability changes on respiratory muscle strength in an adult with a functional disorder of the musculosceletal system
ŠIGUTOVÁ, Anežka
The bachelor thesis deals with the study of the effect of changes in postural stability on the strength of respiratory muscles in adults with a functional disorder of the musculoskeletal system. This work consists of two parts. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is first devoted to breathing, its control, stereotype of breathing and respiratory muscles. A large part is also devoted to the diaphragm, which has not only respiratory but also postural function and its relationship to posture. Subsequently, it deals with the definition and ontogenesis of posture and its significance, postural stability, stabilization and reactivity. Furthermore, the deep stabilization system and its components are described. The last part deals with the issue of functional disorders and the most commonly used methods of therapy of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The practical part of the work is a form of qualitative research and consists of three case studies. All subjects are women aged 21 to 23 years. I was the first to perform an initial examination, where I mainly examined the quality of postural stability and measured the strength of the respiratory muscles using a triflow spirometer. A total of six meetings were held with each patient. At the last, an exit examination was performed. Within the whole group, there was no significant change in the strength of the respiratory muscles when the postural stability changed, but there was a change in the examination of the respiratory stereotype and the diaphragmatic test. This bachelor thesis can serve as an inspiration for physiotherapeutic procedures in the treatment of functional disorders and the possibilities of influencing postural stability and respiratory muscles.
Detection of functional disorders of platelets using the PFA device in comparison with conventional aggregometry
Klausová, Kateřina ; Bártů, Iva (advisor) ; Blažková, Hana (referee)
UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE 2. lékařská fakulta Oddělení klinické hematologie ve FN Motol Kateřina Klausová Detection of functional disorders of platelets using the PFA device in comparison with conventional aggregometry Bachelor work Abstract The theme of this work is to compare two devices designed for measuring functional disorders of platelets - the PFA device and the agreggometer. The PFA device was introduced recently and measures closure time of capillary in a special cartridge. The measurement takes place in a whole blood sample. Aggregometer is used for stimulation of platelet aggregation by the inductors. The measurement takes place in platelet rich plasma. This work compares results of patients whose blood samples were measured on both devices. It figures out whether the results of the devices match and describes their advantages and disadvantages. The work leads to conclusion that is appropriate to use both devices for complementary results in the laboratory. Comparsion of patient samples demonstrates that patients with reduced percentage of aggregation have also prolonged capillary closure time.
