Configuring Linux Mail Server

The aim was to configure a Linux mail server, which should serve as a complement to web hosting, therefore should be able to serve multiple domains at once. The next task was to test the server base. The theoretical part explained how email works, describes the steps that occur from sending to receiving message. They described the various components of the mail server. Furthermore the most important protocols have been described, what purpose they have, how they work and at which ports they operate. In the practical part was at first selected a suitable solution mail server. Postfix server and additional necessary components were chosen eventually. Dovecot was installed to manage mailboxes and IMAP implementation. ClamAV antivirus and antispam BitDefender were installed as protection. Step-by-step changes in the setting were described. The solution has been tested for security.
Management Tools for Webhosting Server

This work deals with the implementation of tools for managing of a webhosting server and maintaining of such a server. The basic aim is to design and implement such tools that would easily allow an individual manage of the hosted domain, email accounts, accounts for FTP access and MySQL database. In addition, selecting an appropriate web, FTP, and mail server, and especially configuration of these serveres is also the aim of this work.
