Measurement of the centrifugal acceleration
Košta, Ondřej ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This work is concerned with design and realization of rotational speed sensor based on measuring of the centrifugal acceleration. The measuring chain is designed as wireless, because it is needed to transfer the information about acceleration from rotating shaft, so connection by wire is impossible. The measuring chain is realized by using convenient MEMS accelerometer, that's why the first chapter is dedicated to short introduction of MEMS technology. Then the reader is introduced to methods and physical principles of acceleration measurement. The two most used types of accelerometers, piezorezistive and capacitive, are described deeper. The last theoretical chapter deals with two ways how to determine rotational speed from acceleration. The process of design of the measuring chain is described in the practical part of work. There are reasons for choosing a microcontroller. Sampling and message sending algorithms are described, there is also a description how AP receives messages. The AP serves as bridge between transmitting part and PC. Measured data are processed by PC in developing environment LabVIEW. Then the virtual instrument, which process measured data and represents them on screen for the user, is described. Finally the mechanical parts of the centrifugal acceleration measurement tool are described.
Contactless revolutions counter for rotary machines
Zatloukal, Jiří ; Vdoleček, František (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
The Bachelor's Thesis consists of two parts. At first it deals with methods of the speed rotary measurement summary from history to the current methods applied. In the second part we can see a project and the actual production of the strobe rotation speed scanner and IR rotation speed scanner. All it is implemented in the solderless breadboard and under employment of the development kit EvB 4.3 based with the microcontroller Atmega 644p.
Motorcycle on-board computer
Hadwiger, Tomáš ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Růžek, Václav (advisor)
My thesis deals with the construction of on-board computers for a motorcycle. The scheme is based on the parameters of onboard computers appearing on the market. In comparison with the models, which are offered commercially it also allows measurement of the motorcycle’s fuel consumption and location by using GPS. On-board computer measures speed, traveled distance, motor speed and engine temperature. It is controlled by a pair of eight-bit AVR microcontrollers. The measured data are showed by a graphical LCD display with touch screen.
