Aerodynamic components of passenger cars
Petrskovský, Adam ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Vondruš, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on aerodynamics of the cars. Theories on aerodynamics characterizations as well as force exertions are presented here. Moreover, the influence of aerodynamics on fuel consumption and formation of harmful emissions is described. The thesis also provides a comprehensive overview of particular aerodynamic devices used on cars. Furthermore, CFD simulations of four aerodynamic devices on a simplified model of car are included. The results of these simulations are then evaluated and the respective aerodynamic devices are subsequently compared to find out which of them has contributed the most to the improvement of aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle.
Understanding the concepts of measure in 5th grade students
Kupková, Tereza ; Jirotková, Darina (advisor) ; Zamboj, Michal (referee)
The diploma thesis is devoted to the investigation of the understanding of the concepts of measure among pupils of two fifth grades of a primary school in a small town. In the first part of the thesis, the concept of measure in the didactics of mathematics is presented, its anchoring in the RVP ZV, and then several views of different authors on the concept-forming process in the field of measure in geometry are presented. At the end of the first part of the thesis, the introduction of these concepts in selected textbooks for the 4th year of elementary school is examined. The second part of the work contains research that aims to find out what phase of the concept- forming process of measure in geometry the students of the research sample are in November, to propose further steps in the development of understanding of the concepts of content and perimeter, to implement the design scenario as possible and, finally, to find out the level of understanding of these concepts in March. The means for determining the level of student understanding in November is a research test, which is evaluated in the work and based on the results of which further steps are proposed. Since it turned out that the students have deficiencies in the first stages of the concept formation process and it is necessary to return...
From asymptotic density to the Riemann zeta-function
Grebík, Jan ; Balcar, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Zahradník, Miloš (referee)
We study the connection of combinatorics of natural numbers and measures extending the asymptotic density with the structures of number theory and the Riemann zeta-function. We show that the study of measures extending density via ultrafilter limits can be restricted to thin ultrafilters and we charac- terize the σ-additivity of such measures using the ∗invariance of ultrafilters. We study the generic extension obtained by forcing with the algebra P(N) modulo the density ideal. We show that this is a two-step iteration, where the first step is the known forcing with P(N)/fin adding a selective ultrafilter, while the second step kills the selectivity. We isolate the values of some cardinal invariants in this extension.
CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES OF LONG-TERM UNEMPLOYMENT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN THE PERIOD 2000 - 2010
Lukas, Miroslav ; Szabová, Lucia (advisor) ; Ježek, Tomáš (referee)
Long-term unemployment is one of the most advanced countries of economic issues. In my work I aimed to analyse the causes and consequences of unemployment in the Czech Republic. My assumption is verify that the current causes of long-term unemployment is also connected with educational attainment and classified into age groups, and that the consequences can lead to changes in the social status of the individual and economic burden on the state budget. This work deals with the elements of the active employment policy to reduce this rate. This method is used BP logical induction. The work is the comparison of long-term unemployment problem in the Czech Republic with selected countries of the European Union, the United States and selected OECD countries. Finally, from the data, are outlined clear connection between the economic indicators and long-term unemployment and the resulting recommendations to alleviate unemployment in the Czech Republic.
Anticorruption mechanism design
Kobrč, Marek ; Bartoň, Petr (advisor) ; Skopeček, Jan (referee)
This paper contains a design of an anticorruption measure. Person, which first reports a corruption it has committed will be freed of all charges and could keep all the yields he has already taken possession of. Everybody who has committed the corruption would have an incentive to report it. The corrupting people must therefore take cost to prevent this option which would lower their profit and therefore the occurrence of corruption as well. The measure also increases the chance of revealing the corruption. Were some conditions met, the corruption could be prevented beforehand. The measure could be used to reveal corruption which happened before the implementation of the measure.
