Krátke dodavateľské reťazce a komunitou podporované poľnohospodárstvo
Králová, Lucia
The thesis deals with the issue of short supply chains and community supported agriculture. These concepts are a form of alternative supply chains that are dedicated to the sale of quality, locally sourced food from primary production that also supports the local economy and local vendors. Both forms of distribution also support a sustainable food system and organic post-agriculture, with the added value of engaging people in a community-based way of life. The thesis evaluates the research questions by confirming or refuting the hypotheses, which aimed to find out the current situation in the Slovak and Czech Republic in relation to this concept. The thesis analyses successfully functioning distribution systems from ethical, economic, ecological point of view. A questionnaire survey was used to investigate the consumers' view of short retail chains, with the research question: "Do consumers prefer buying from short supply chains?", where hypothesis 1 was confirmed, which implies that consumers prefer buying from short supply chains for several reasons, but actually practice buying from long supply chains. In the practical part of the thesis, SWOT analyses of the two types of chains were carried out, identifying the strengths and weaknesses as well as the threats and opportunities of these chains, focusing in particular on the risks and limitations that are the reason for the so far low interest in the use of the financial sub-programmes of the rural development programme. In the SWOT analysis for community supported agro-farming, the research question was answered: "Does community supported agriculture have a favourable future for producers?" and, depending on it, confirmed hypothesis 1, which states that community-supported agriculture has a favorable future for producers.

Hanzlová, Radka
The CVVM also included a large block of questions concerning local food in the special Food 2020 research focused mainly on food waste, shopping, and consumer behaviour of Czech citizens.\nOnly three-tenths (30%) of the public in the Czech Republic were interested in the topic of local food, while the majority (69%) were rather not interested or not interested at all.\nThe most important criterion, which, according to the Czech public should be met by the "local food" label, is the information about the place where it was produced (20%) and subsequently that it should be what is considered a quality food (16%).\nThe majority (61%) of the Czech public believed that there was a shortage of local producers / farmers in the vicinity of their place of residence.\n\nThe respondents usually perceived support for local food production from the EU, the Czech Republic, the region and the micro-region as insufficient.

Food Quality Mark “Regionalni potravina“ as an Instrument for Promotion of Local Food Production
Kubíková, Klára ; Chylíková, Hana (advisor) ; Pešková, Jitka (referee)
Local food is a current topic within the Czech food market. The Thesis is focused on the food quality mark "Regionalni potravina" as an instrument for local production promotion. Aim of the thesis is to verify whether labeling local food with the quality mark "Regionalni potravina" contributes to the local food production. An analysis has been performed, that focuses on The Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic's project "Regionalni potravina" in The Usti Region. The analysis contributes to the current local food issue from the perspective of consumers and producers. A questionnaire survey among The Usti Region's consumers and local food producers, that were awarded the quality mark, has been performed. Half of the respondents claim to consume local food, they appreciate its quality and clear origin. The food quality mark "Regionalni potravina" has appealed to the consumers, thus they are motivated to buy local products. That leads to promotion of local food production. The survey was able to prove that the food quality mark "Regionalni potravina" truly leads to promotion of local food production. Considering these conclusions and consumers' attitude towards local food, it would be worth considering to promote a wider range of local food producers who meet the quality and local origin requirements.
