Design of lightning protection system for a multifunctional building
Drašnar, Antonín ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This final thesis describes the essentials required for the correct process of protecting objects against the destructive effects of lightning current. The focus of the practical part compares selected software tools that facilitates both the risk analysis process of possible damage caused by a lightning strike and enables the finding of adequate protection of the assessed object. The comparison of the software itself is made from the point of view of their availability, clarity and especially also from the point of view of the provided functionalities. The functionalities and options of each software are purposefully demonstrated on a defined complex building, for the implementation of two designs of the lightning protection system, specifically in the version with a distant lightning protection system and using the method of equipotential bonding. Both applied lightning protection are then compared in more detail in terms of technical and economic demands.
Design of lightning protection system for a historical building
Kytka, Jakub ; Janík, Daniel (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of protection against atmospheric overvoltage for a historical building. The historical object is a dilapidated castle, whose investor will try to renovate or rebuild the castle in the future. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to introduce the issue and then to create project documentation for the implementation of the lightning protection system. The first theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the basic introduction to surge protection, theoretical analysis and research of standards on the issue of internal and external surge protection. The second theoretical part is devoted to the issue of risk management and its analysis according to the applicable standards, including the determination of the risk of the object under consideration. In the first practical part, drawings of the roof plan and front/rear and side views were created. In the second practical part, a lightning protection design was created for the object. In the third practical part, a schematic for the surge protection design, a lightning protection budget and a technical report were created.
Electrical installation for a family house with automation elements
Souček, Tomáš ; Janík, Daniel (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this work is to familiarize with the implementation of power and data distribution and systems for automation of electrical installation. Furthermore, to define the principles necessary for the creation of the project documentation of the electrical installation of a family house. The first part of the thesis deals with the definitions and principles associated with safety and the methods of ensuring it, which must be taken into account when creating project documentation. This theses also deals with the conditions and selected methods of connection of the building to the low-voltage distribution network, methods of execution of high-current and low-current installation and systematic installation . The second part deals with the elaboration of a specific electrical installation project for a family house. The content of this point of the assignment is the design of the installation of the high and low-current circuits of the family house, including the systematic installation. It also includes the design of the electric switchboard, lightning protection system and the preparation of technical documentation in accordance with the applicable technical standards.
Problems of measurement and evaluation of earth resistance
Šindelář, Petr ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
This work deals with the measurement of earth resistance, definition, substances causing earth conductivity, basic norms for carrying out grounding revisions and effect of earth resistance on securing and protection element. In the introduction there is theoretical analyzing of grounding issue and principles for the measurement of parameters, which are important for the protection of persons and animals in order not to touch exposed conductive part accidentally, protection of equipment against high fault current and dangerous surges while the correct function of the connected electrical equipment. In the next part there are described methods of earth resistance and soil resistivity measuring. The practical part of the work summarizes the results of practical measurements in individual places with different measuring device.
Proposition of grounding enhancing cement composite mixture
Sochor, David ; Bydžovský, Jiří (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a conductive cement composite grounding mixture for protection of building structures in areas with low conductivity. The theoretical part is mainly focused on summarizing the knowledge of the current protection of buildings against lightning and overvoltage. The study includes knowledge in the field of conductive building materials and aims to present the design of a cement composite mixture to improve grounding. Choosing the right raw materials to achieve electrical conductivity. A maintenance-free material has been developed, no humidity needed material while maintaining conductivity. The work it examines the possibilities of using industrial wastes as secondary raw materials. The conclusion focuses on laboratory testing of newly developed materials, summary and discussion of the results. With the developed samples, the resistivity was greatly reduced. The positive effect of ferric dust and carbon particles has been demonstrated.
Electrical installation for apartment building with partial automation
Poruba, Marcel ; Janík, Daniel (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of power and data installations and systems for the automation of electrical installations. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the legislative and safety requirements for the realisation of project documentation and the methods of implementation of individual parts of electrical distribution systems, including a section on systems for the automation of electrical installations. The TECOMAT Foxtrot system, which is used in the second part of the thesis for controlling electrical installations, is described. The practical part contains the complete project documentation for the apartment build ing in the stage of documentation for the construction. The drawing part contains drawings of the floor plans of the building, in which the power wiring and data wiring including the control by the Foxtrot wiring system are drawn. The documentation includes wiring diagrams of switchboards, drawings of lightning protection system, technical report, budget and calculation of switchboards in Sichr software.
