Instrumental gait analysis in the ACL patient
Lalaeva, Anna ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Lopot, František (referee)
Title: Instrumental Gait Analysis in the ACL Patient Aim: to present an up to date review on the topic of instrumental analysis of straight ahead gait on a plain surface (both over-ground and on a treadmill) in ACL patients (both deficient and reconstructed). A second aim is to introduce the clinician (especially in the field of physiotherapy/rehabilitation) to the topic of gait analysis and its specific use for the ACL patient. Methods: a systematic review on the topic Results The review answers the questions of what instrumentation, phases of gait and variables is best to use/measure for clinical purposes. It also identifies and discusses three main gait strategies used by ACL patients: quadriceps avoidance, knee stiffening, pivot shift avoidance. Keywords: gait, analysis, walking, clinical, instrumental, anterior cruciate ligament, ACL, deficient, reconstruction, injury
Physiotherapy in patients with rupture LCA
Čížková, Karolína ; Hamarová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Horká, Bohumila (referee)
Author: Karolína Čížková Institution: Rehab clinic LF UK in Hradec Králové Topic of bachelor's thesis: Physiotherapy in patiens with rupture of ACL Supervisor: Mgr. Zuzana Hamarová Number of pages: 108 Number of annex: 11 Year of vindication 2012 Key words: ACL, knee, rupture of ACL, rehabilitation In general part of this bachelor's thesis is described anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the knee joint, mostly anterior cruciate ligament. It contents causes of injury of anterior cruciate ligament, diagnostic methods and methods of treatment. In special part of this bachelor's thesis is dateiled casuistry of two patients, who have been rehabilitated after reconstructive surgery of ACL in army sports centre Dukla Liberec. Each of these two patients was operated by different method of reconstructive surgery of ACL and the goal of this bachelor's thesis is to compare the success of rehabilitation between these patients.
Physiotherapy in patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
Kozubová, Barbora ; Plevová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Pudilová, Veronika (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Barbora Kozubová Supervisor: Ing. Kristýna Plevová Consultant: Ing. Bc. Marie Novotná Title: Physiotherapy in patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction Abstract: The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of LCA injuries in the knee joint. The aim of this work is to evaluate the effect on physiotherapeutic interventions on two selected patients after LCA replacement using different autologous grafts. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part includes the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint, epidemiology, etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and treatment of LCA injuries. This section also describes a comprehensive rehabilitation program in various phases. In the practical part, two case studies of men who were selected on the basis of certain selection criteria are processed. The key methods of data collection were Timed up and go test, Body mass index, numerical pain scale, anthropometric examination, examination of the range of motion, examination of muscle strength, examination of shortened muscles and examination of standing on two personal scales. Based on on overall results, it was found in both case studies that the undertaking of physiotherapeutic interventions resulted in a significant improvement of the...
Physiotherapy in Patients after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury of a Knee Joint. Subtitle: Focusing on the Method InternalBraceTM
Pavlíková, Lucie ; Šebek, Milan (advisor) ; Jakovcová, Karolína (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Lucie Pavlíková Supervisor: Ing. Bc. Milan Šebek Opponent: Name of the bachelor thesis: Physiotherapy in Patients after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury of a Knee Joint Focusing on the Method InternalBraceTM Abstract: The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of physiotherapy after injury of the anterior cruciate ligament of a knee joint. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint and its structures, as well as the way of injury of the anterior cruciate ligament. The following are the most common solutions of LCA rupture (graft from ligamentum patelae and m. Semitendidosus and m. Gracilis) and subsequent physiotherapy. There is also an innovative method, the InternalBraceTM method, using FiberTape® knitted fiber. In the practical part, case reports of three patients after the operation using InternalBraceTM system are processed. Physiotherapeutic intervention was, in two patients in the acute phase, conducted according to the guidelines by method makers for seven weeks. Its aim was to verify the used methodology of rehabilitation in practice. In a third patient, the difficulties that may arise are described. Key words: FiberTape, InternalBrace, knee joint, ligamentum cruciatum...
