The Potential of Greenery and Landscape Elements in a Public Space in theContext of Sustainable Development of Urban Environment

Urban development is a dynamic process which should react to the needs of society. In the context of economic, demographic and social changes in post-industrial city is emerging the need for new approaches to planning public spaces. The paper deals with potentials of vegetation in the context of sustainable development of urban environment. Urban green is gaining more attention not only in the context of global climate changes, but also for its ability to enhance attractiveness of space and strengthen its identity. Vacant lots in the urban fabric mean opportunities and challenges for green space development. Against this backdrop the question is whether the influence, significance and usage of green spaces will change andwhether these changes will affect urban planning.
Managerial Aspects of Planting of Greenery in the Landscape: the Restoration of Avenue in Veltruby

The aim of this thesis is to describe the role of project manager, focused on the creation of landscape elements, avenue, from the inception of intention, throught processing of the project for the creation of conditions (gaining the financial aid) for its implementation within the local community. The theoretical part introduces the reader to the main terms of this issue, the practical part presents an analysis of the given village, description of the project, set opportunities of village utilizable of implementation of the plantation and introduces the steps in the field of information and finding out citizens' motivation in helping the realization of the project.
