Laboratory task arm pitch control by propeller thrust

This master thesis deals with the development and design of pendulum arm where the controlled variable is pitch of the arm. The goal is to stabilize the position of the arm in a horizontal position. Its position is controlled by changing the thrust of the propeller. Three types of controllers, PID, fuzzy PID and LQI controller are used to control the speed of the BLDC motor, which creates thrust together with the propeller. All controllers are designed and tested in Matlab/Simulink software, where the mathematical model of the system is controlled by them, then firmware for STM32F446RE containing controllers programmed in C language is created. For controlling the real system by user, the UI is created in C# .Net Framework. All controllers are then tested and tuned in order to be able to run on a real system and compared with each other. The model will then be used to test different types of controllers in teaching.
Design and production of pendulum tuned mass damper

In a real environment, various external conditions can cause vibration of the machines, buildings or other systems. To prevent vibration of the system with low frequencies, pendulum tuned mass damper can be installed. The first part of this thesis describes the oscillation of simple structures for systems with one or two degrees of freedom. This analysis is then applied to mechanism that contains pendulum tuned mass damper. The damper’s principle is explained along with its important parameters and properties. Design and tuning of the damper are explained. Text continues with description of several types of the damper and there are mentioned some examples of their applications. In the final part, a model of the mechanism with pendulum tuned mass damper is designed and it is described mathematically using programs Matlab and Ansys. Subsequently, the model was made and the real model was compared with mathematical model. It was found that effectiveness of the damper depends most on the natural frequency of the system and the dissipation energy from it. The manufactured pendulum damper effectively dampens the oscillation of the real model, and the course of its oscillations corresponds to the mathematical model.
Inverted pendulum demonstrator

This bachelor thesis deals with the design of an inverse pendulum model. A mathematical description of the inverse pendulum is developed and implemented in Simulink. Furthermore, a real inverse pendulum model is created and interfaced with the Simulink environment using the STM32 NUCLEO platform. At the end of the work, the basic parameters of the real inverse pendulum model are also identified.

This diploma thesis is concerned with a construction design of single toggle jaw crusher DCJ 900x500. In the first part, the theoretical background and ways of material disintegration are discussed. The second chapter describes types of material crushers in general, especially jaw crushers and their parts. The third chapter is concerned with calculations and the design of the most important parts of the machine. The fourth part consists of the crusher power calculation, design of the pendulum and its production technology. The last part includes the result of FEM analysis for the particular variant of pendulum production. The thesis also includes drawing documentation of the crusher and the pendulum.
New trends in the field of stone mastic asphalts

The work consists of two parts. The first part is focused on the determination of an anti-skid properties of the test section on Vídenská street. The anti-skid properties will be measured using a pendulum tester and macrotexture will be set at the same time. Microtexture will be measured using a volumetric patch technique. In the second part we will try to gain an initial experience with design and testing of a low noise stone mastic asphalt. We will set basic characteristics and at the same time compare with a standard stone mastic asphalt. For the comparison two various bituminous binders are used. The water sensitivity, resistance against rutting and stiffness moduli are compared.

Pendulum jaw crusher

This master thesis deals with structural design of pendulum for single toggle jaw crusher DC 110x70 and consists of several main parts. The first part focuses on the processing of mineral materials, especially on the process of mechanical uncoupling. The second part compares main characteristics of single toggle and double toggle jaw crushers. The third part deals with the structural nodes for the crusher DC 110x70. Another part is consisted of two variants for the pendulum construction with a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages. For the selected variant is carried out the stress control using Finite element method (FEM) in the program I-DEAS. The last part focuses on the positioning an exit slit for designed pendulum.

This thesis deals with the design of the construction of a pendulum of a single toggle jaw crusher. The first part of this thesis treats the mechanical raw minerals disintegration. In the second part the characteristics of a single toggle jaw crusher and double toggle jaw crusher are compared. The third part addresses the calculation and the construction of the main components of the jaw crusher. Next part of the thesis consists of the calculation of the crushing force, the pendulum design, and the method of manufacturing a pendulum. The strength analysis of the designed pendulum using the finite element method (FEM) in program NX-Ideas is made in the last part of this thesis.
Proposal of test equipment/method for quick verification of quality of welded joints

This bachelor’s thesis is dealing with the proposal and the choice of the proper method for quick check of weld seams of ball pivot of automobile stabilizers created by the resistance welding method. The first, theoretical part deals with the resistance welding. The second part deals with a description of the production process and testing of the particular component. The last part contains personal proposals and an assessment of the suitability of use of each construction solution of simple mechanical devices for quality checking of the weld seam. The recommended method to use is the Charpy impact test which served as the base for designing the special test device.
Pendulum excitation

This thesis is focused on creating a model situation of excited pendulum with one degree of freedom that oscillates in both linear and nonlinear condition. The theoretical part describes several basic concepts of oscillation theory and states some examples of pendulum applicability. The practical part consists assembling of motion equations of model situations, based on which simulations programs are created. The thesis contains also concept of practical use of the nonlinear pendulum model.
