Individualized feeding of premature babies in practice
Kotíková, Aneta ; Hronek, Miloslav (advisor) ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the individualized feeding of preterm infants. The aim of this work was to evaluate the benefits of orofacial stimulation and to compare the values with a group of premature newborns who were fed standardly, without any intervention. The measurement took place in three periods of the child's life. When being discharged from the maternity hospital, in the 1st and 2nd years of life. Evaluation parameters included length of hospitalization, diet at discharge, at 12 and 24 months, and anthropometric parameters such as BMI, weight-height ratio, head circumference, and body length. Orofacial stimulation always took place before each breastfeeding during hospitalization. In the monitored period, statistically significant changes were recorded in the days of hospitalization, diet at discharge, and at 12 and 24 months in preterm infants. Breastfeeding difficulties were significantly reduced after orofacial stimulation. However, the study did not show significant differences in orofacial stimulation on anthropometric parameters. It follows that orofacial stimulation does not affect the growth of the newborn, it only supports and improves the quality of breastfeeding. In summary, it can be said that the orofacial stimulation method is an effective form of breastfeeding support...
Porovnávací studie bezobilných komplexních krmných směsí (KKS) pro morčata
POSTLOVÁ, Štěpánka
The purpose of this bachelor thesis was to compare commercially sold grain-free complex compound feeds (CCF) for guinea pigs. In particular, a comparison of the production technology, nutrient content and prices of the offered feeds. A total of 10 grain-free CFCs were compared and the results were discussed with literature. In particular, the production method of the feeds and the content of the main nutrients needed for the guinea pig were monitored. In addition, the feeds were compared based on their average price per kilogram. The ranking of the most suitable feeds was inducted from on the values, which were summarized in the cre-ated tables and graphs.

Výživa a krmení králíků středních plemen v drobnochovu
Šiplák, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis on the topic of Nutrition and feeding of rabbits of medium-sized breeds in homebreeding, states in the introduction general information about rabbits. At first it focuses on their zoological classification, then their origin and domestication and also the importance of their breeding. Then there are charactized a few medium-sized breeds, which are the most favourite and most often breed in homebreedings. In the following sections is described the digestive system of rabbits. At first from the anatomical view and then from physiological view that describes their own digestion and resorption of nutrients. The main part of this thesis is focused on nutrition and feeding. At first there is a mention about classification of feed with characteristics of basic nutrients. Then there are described feed which are suitable for feeding rabbits in the homebreedings. The final experimental part is focused on growth ability of rabbits depending on the different composition of ration. After the evaluation of this experiment we can conclude that rabbits who are feeding by complete feed mixtuere grow better and faster than rabbits who are feeding by traditional feed.
Management generačních ryb candáta obecného (Sander lucioperca) a jeho vliv na produkci jiker a larev
MALINOVSKYI, Oleksandr
This thesis provides an improve to existing reproduction technics through investigation of ecology and physiology features of pikeperch broodstock: (I) Spawning behavior and selectivity to different types of spawning substrates as an important part of the biology of pikeperch species. The main output of the study was revealing of strong selectivity to the spawning site with neither water temperature nor availability of spawning places haven't affected substrate preference of pikeperch broodstock. (II) Spawning in captivity is leads to decrease in physiological status of the pikeperch broodstock, especially in females. It was found that one of the reasons of the decrease was male protective behavior, that in limited space of the reproduction unit is forwarded to female. Separation of the sexes significantly reduces number injuries and improved physiological status of the broodstock. (Ill) The study investigated efficiency of different antifungal agents for pikeperch broodstock. The long term exposure to salt bath in concentration of 2.5, 5 and 10 g L-1 and formaldehyde in concentration 0.015 ml L-1 were found to be highly effective and significantly decreased mortality after spawning. In addition, treatment with salt bath are environmentally friendly and recommended for practical use as an effective way to prevent mortality of pond-cultured pikeperch broodstock. (lV) The provision of live feed is crucially important for proper gametes maturation, particularly in pond-cultured fishes not accepting pellets. The study investigated the effect of temperature on daily biomass of prey consumed by pikeperch broodstock. Significantly increased prey consumption was found after temperature reached 4.5 °C. Females exhibited significantly higher prey consumption rate in compare to male. Study revealed the tendency for pikeperch to consume largest available prey after water temperature reached 8.5 °C.
Problematika výživy masného typu ovcí plemene Charollais
SAMCOVÁ, Eva
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to elaborate the issue of feeding Charollais sheep type meat during the whole year and associated processing of nutrition system in individual season, feed and preserved feed, rams. The best feed element appears to be a pasture with plenty of fresh forage and the movement of sheep in the fresh air, which helps them to develop muscle and contributes to the good performance of the meat. Sheep are mainly reared in our country for meat, milk, skin and wool. I practiced at Kostelec Farm to get valuable information about feeding and feeding Charollais sheep. During this practice, I took 1 kg of feed (feed for sheep and goats) in the form of granules to test the dry, nitrogen, ash, coarse fiber and fat content of the test. Based on this, I compiled a table with the resulting values and compared it with the actual data.
VÝZNAM VITAMINŮ VE VÝŽIVĚ DRŮBEŽE
KUDRNOVÁ, Eva
Bachelor thesis deals with nutrition, feeding of poultry and importance of vitamins especially in laying hens, fattening broilers and ducks. Lack of vitamins leads not only to metabolic diseases that can significantly impair the productivity and efficiency of the breed. In the first part of the thesis I explain the importance of vitamins and their distribution by solubility. I deal with the digestive system in birds, the physiology of digestion. In the second part I provide information on feeding and feeding of poultry. In the final part I propose possible measures that will improve the health status, production and welfare of poultry.
