The experiment was based on the feeding of feed additive, which was composed of vitamins, methionine, zinc and copper in organic form (amino acid complex n-hydrate). The experiment was 14 horses divided into two groups (test and control group). The experimental group was the basic ration, which also received a control group, added over a period of nine months, a feed additive. During the experiment, 5 samples were taken from which the detected concentration of some mineral elements (Ca, Fe, Mg, Cu, Zn) and various biochemical parameters (glucose, aspartate aminotransferase, urea, bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase). Administration of a feed additive was a statistically significant (P <0.05) increase in the zinc content of the original 5828 mg +- 1.67 10.57 +- 0.79 four milligrams. The copper content in the control sampling was 10.737 +- 2.46 and statistically significantly increased to 12.698 +- 1.74 mg. Check sampling contained 4.58 +- 0.56 mmol / l glucose, the last collection and showed no significant difference statistically insignificant (P <0.01) was 4.45 +- 0.46 mmol/l. In the control sampling was determined the average number of aspartate aminotransferase to 2.46 +- 0.48 mikromol/l, which is due to the administration of feed additives statistically insignificant (P <0.01) increased to 3.37 +- 0.71 mikromol/l.. Blood urea is statistically insignificant (P <0.01) did not change much, the initial value of 5.86 +- 1.20 mmol / l decreased to 5.75 +- 1.17 mmol / l. Bilirubin is statistically insignificant (P <0.01) without significant deviation from the initial 14.61 +- 5.45 mikromol/l slightly increased to 14.78 +- 6.41 mikromol/l.. Alkaline phosphatase statistically significant (P <0.05) increased from 1.98 +- 0.34 mikromol/l to 3.18 +- 0.66 mikromol/l.
Electronic democracy and its potential in the Czech Republic
Bejdák, Radek ; Lebeda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Novák, Miroslav (referee)
The diploma thesis examines new phenomena of electronic democracy which is becoming more popular with the internet expansion. The thesis summarizes existing research in the field of electronic democracy from a view of forms that could be or are taken. The aim of this summarization is to show that new transformational changes affecting our society do not automatically implicate a shift towards direct democracy. Using theoretical summarization a state of the art of electronic democracy in the Czech Republic is described. Importance is given to an analysis of contemporary evolving tools and initiatives which were developed from two directions - top-down and a bottom up. A part of this analysis is an assessment of important factors that are stimulating a development of electronic participation - freedom of information right, internet penetration and computer literacy.
The beginning, evolution and breeding of Lipizzan horse in National Stud Farm Topoľčianky
Bedeová, Linda ; Navrátil, Jan (advisor) ; Marko, Marko (referee)
Bachelor thesis provides comprehensive information about the origin, development and Lipizzan horse breeding in the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky. The work consists of four parts. The first part informs about the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky itself, its location and surroundings. It describes formation of stud farm, its major milestones and formation of Lipizzan horse breeding in stud farm, which forms its integral part. The first part ends with description of current status of horses, while except for the number of horses and foals bred in the stud farm it includes characteristics of stallions for years 2015 and 2016. The second part informs about another stud farms that are breeding the Lipizzan horses in Europe, in particular the National Stud Farm in Lipica where the breed originated, the National Stud Farm in Piber and other stud farms in Central and Eastern Europe. The third section characterizes the Lipizzaner horse, describes the beginning of its breed in Slovakia and characterizes the breed through breeding standard, labelling of horses and their colouring. As next, a part of this chapter consists of a brief characterization and division of the stud book and there are also described various lines of stallions and mare families. The penultimate part of the third section of work is the provincial breeding and labour exploitation of the Lipizzan horses, in the Spanish riding school and tandem driving. The last part introduce the statistology of mare vital statistics aberrancy from the breed standard. For creating the summary sheet of that statistics, the stud books with bodily rates of 1921 to 2007 brood mares form the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky were used. The conclusion of this own research part is finding that the National stud farm, despite small variations still holds the breed standard, which confirms to us the correctness of line breeding, high breeding professionalism and especially conscientious work of all employees of the stud farm. The goal of the work was the approximation of the Lipizzan horse, his journey from place of origin to Slovakia and its settling down in the National Stud Farm Topoľčianky, as well as the work of stud farm in area of breeding, but also in sports, where riders achieve remarkable results both in tandem driving and the Spanish riding school.
Ageing in horses and related problems
Tomašková, Jana ; Hofmanová, Barbora (advisor) ; Majzlík, Ivan (referee)
SUMMARY This bachelor thesis includes general informations about process of aging in horses and related problems. Very good question is how we can define an old horse, however without definitive answer. At the beginning, there are knowledges about when aging occurs in horses by various authors. Then there are mentioned changes at feeding old horses and diseases that afflict horses with increasing age. With growing number of equine geriatric population abroad some surveys and studies of aged horses were made and brought important results. At the conclusion, ethic issues can´t be leave out and what an euthanasia means for horse´s owners and veterinarians. Approach a situation in our region, a number of registered aged horses in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany are published.
