Traffic Connection Searching in Transport Schedules
Žižka, Ondřej ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
Everyday need of modern society is a mass personal transit on a regular basis. For this purpose, mass transit systems exist which obey aforethought schedule. This thesis' goal is to examine the means of automatic search of connections from one place to another, implement such search, and to advance the search algorithm using the soft-computing paradigms. Minor goal would be a research of SQL language procedural capabilities, which could support mass pseudo-parallel computations.
Park&Ride system in Brno region
Štadáni, Pavel ; Apeltauer, Jiří (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The intensity of car traffic grows worldwide every year. This issue is being resolved by establishing Park&Ride car parks, a combination of car and public transport, at city outskirts. Their purpose is to reduce car congestion. This thesis focuses on targeting the most convenient locations of Park&Ride car parks for passengers travelling to Brno from west and southwest directions – specifically parts of the Brno-venkov and Znojmo districts, with overlap to the Třebíč and Žďár nad Sázavou districts in the Vysočina region. A part of this process is also to evaluate the optimal car park capacity required. The conclusion presents a comparison of the journey time by car alone and that of the Park&Ride system.
Analysis of selected quantitative and qualitative indicators of integrated transport systems in the Czech Republic
Soukup, Ondřej ; Doleželová, Štěpánka (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is the first part to describe the basic assumptions for the establishment of an integrated transport system, describe the historical evolution, current form, size and method of processing passengerseach IDS in regions of Czech republic. Subsequently tabular and graphical indicators to compare the various integrated transport systems. The second part focuses on practical solutions to optimize routes in IDS JMK by realizing of transport survey, design and assessment of variant solutions.
Traffic service in Barcelona
Bláhová, Markéta ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Šeredová, Eliška (referee)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to analyze transport services in Barcelona. The theoretical part is devoted to basic concepts of urban public transport and suburban transport. It is also focused mainly on rail transport because rail transport is the backbone of public transport in Barcelona and its surroundings. In the next chapter, I present Spain, the Autonomous Region of Catalonia and Barcelona. In the practical part, I first inform you about the integrated transport system and the travel documents. I continue to pursue the port of Barcelona and the airport El Prat. Then I analyze the means of transport of urban public transport and suburban transport in the described areas, their important lines, cycling, and taxis. The last chapter is devoted to adapting transport to the trends of modern times and the future plans.
System of public transport in Oslo
Neuman, Petr ; Pernica, Petr (advisor) ; Zelený, Lubomír (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of system of the Oslo public transport. Its aim is to analyze in detail the form and approaches of the system and be an inspiration to other cities' public transport system. Thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter discusses the meaning of transport in cities. Subsystems of urban passenger transport and their combinations are emphasized. The second chapter applies acquired knowledge to Oslo transport system. The beginning of the chapter focuses on the city of Oslo, its infrastructure and the meaning of urban transporting in the city context. Further in the chapter there is emphasized the management and the operation of integrated transport system, focused mainly on its financing, fares and the means of transport. The third chapter compares Prague's and Oslo's ITSs and based on the lessons learned makes recommendations to improve the Prague's public transport condition.
The Analysis of Passengers‘ Preferences on the route Zliv-Ceske Budejovice
Voglová, Eva ; Černý, Jan (advisor) ; Přibyl, Vladimír (referee)
The aim of this research study is to analyse the demand for public transport on the route Zliv-Ceske Budejovice. Its main aim is to figure out whether comuters prefer public transport to personal transport and what effect does that make on the environment. The analysis was based on findings both prior and posterior demand. The basis for the processing methodology and study of scientific literature is held with a focus on transport and related topics. An integral part of the methodology process is quality data obtained from residents and those moving to session Zliv-Ceske Budejovice. The method used, allows us to analyse the differences between real and desired transport demands. The results of this work will help us manage public transport efficiently, in order to increase the attractiveness of public transport in the session and as a consequence, the negative environmental impacts of other modes of transport.
Rendition of public services within integrated transport systems
Budinský, Vojtěch ; Staša, Josef (advisor) ; Handrlica, Jakub (referee)
Resume Rendition of public services within integrated transport systems The purpose of my thesis is study of public transportation as a public service, which is provided in integrated transport systems. The thesis is composed of eight chapters and introduction. It introduces in with brief story to the subject of thesis and defines key terms for this thesis. First chapter does not focus on public transportation, but it looks at public service generally. It mentions important kinds of public service in western culture and deals with some of examples in the Czech Republic. Second chapter presents key terms. In first sub chapter term is public transportation. It includes historical development of public transportation and its current situation. Second sub chapter contains development of transit districts around the world and in the Czech Republic. Integrated transport system is also known as transport district or passenger transport executive. In Czech name "Integrovaný dopravní systém"is used, which stands for integrated transportation system. Last sub chapter is about such system in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, which is called Prague integrated transport (PIT). It not only describes PIT, but also illustrates history of public transportation Prague. Third chapter is about law 194/2010 on public...

Identifying progressive trends in urban transport in Liberec, Brno, Plzen, Ostrava and Bratislava
Weissova, Zuzana ; Damborský, Milan (advisor) ; Hoffman, Andrej (referee)
In theoretical part concept of Smart Cities and urban mass transportation is introduced. Analysis starts with city s approach to strategic documents in transportation (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans) and their performing in compliance with Smart City concept. Integration of urban transport to integrated transport system is also analysed. Next part describes innovations which are useful for passengers and electronic ticketing systems. Goal is to identify these innovative trends and benchmark success in their introduction in chosen cities. Sources are both public (strategic documents, annual reports) and internal (data from companies).
