The cathar heresy in southern France Abstract: This master's degree work deals the history of the cathar heresy in the area of southern France from the mid-12th century to the 1st third of the 14th century. It supplies the minute description of the historic events, that influenced the development of the cathar church and trace the changes in the political, religious and social sphere that accompanied it. The work sketches out the base of the cathar doctrine along with the structures of the cathar ecclesiastic hierarchy. On the base of the accessible sources and literature, it takes aim in charting the fates of the cathar heresy from the point where it first emerges in the historical sources, through the period of its development in the space of Occitania and the crusade against cathars, as far as its slow destruction during the activity of the papal inquisition. The work tries to handle the social and political phenomena, which partook in the development of the heresy and describe the change they undertook in the era of its persecution. This works brings new impulse for the study of the issue of the history of the cathar heresy and its relation with other heretical groups into the Czech academic sphere. Inquisitors in the Czech Lands in the Pre-Hussite Era

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to create a coherent image of an inquisitor in the Czech lands during 1315-1415 in the form of a profile by gathering information from older and up-to-date literature. The work is divided into three main chapters which essentially cover the rulings of Jan Lucemburský, Karel IV. And Václav IV. There is a table with all inquisitors mentioned in the conclusion. Ethical issues in the profession - Police of the Czech Republic

The theme of this bachelor thesis are the ethical issues in the profession - Police of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains the police ethics description and its development as well as a description of police officers training in this area. The theoretical part then continues with a section focused on communication between the police officer and the citizen. This section also includes a part about ethical violations by the police and penalties for these violations. The practical part consists of case studies, which were created based on real situations from police experience and their subsequent evaluation. In the discussion and conclusion, the thesis summarizes all the established facts.
Disabled people as victims of crime

The paper is devoted to people with disabillities as a category of victims of crime with special needs, with particular focus on the mentally handicapped people as a particularly vulnerable group. The aim is to assess the current police approach to the mentally retarded as victims of crime and the resulting recommendations for appropriate police procedures and specific approach when working with the mentioned group of victims. The paper uses information gained from extensive analysis of documents with relevant topics. This information is supplemented by results of in-depth, structured interviews with handicapped people who had become victims of crime. The information obtained is analyzed and transferred by means of synthesis to specific recommendations that will be usable by police, to work with such a specific group of victims.
History of Witch-hunts in Germany

The topic of this thesis are witch-hunts in Germany, where they took place especially between 1560 and 1650. First, the author turns to the power relations in the Catholic Church which led in the massive appearance of heretic groups around the year 1000. As example she mentions the Cathars and the actions the Church took against them. Further, she gives attention to the birth of Inquisition, its objective and the extension of its powers through papal bulls. After that, she turns to the Templars and their downfall {--} here, the French king cooperated with the Inquisition. In the next chapter, the author shows how the trials against heretics changed into witch-hunts. She names the possible circumstances under which this change took place. In the following part of the thesis, the author turns to the witch-hunts in Germany, their beginning and termination in 1775. In the last part she names possible reasons for the beginning and the termination of witch-hunts.
