Information System Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification

This thesis focuses on an assessment of the current information system in a small company followed by a plan proposal for its replacement. Main goal is to compare multiple different approaches to the process of implementing a new information system in a company and the use of methodical approach for their comparison. The result of this should be a recommendation to whether the information system should be replaced and if so, what will be the resulting gain for the company.

Development of modern HR system

This diploma thesis deals with the development of an information system for human resources management. The aim is to describe the process of the development. This thesis is separated into two bigger parts. First, the theoretical part starts with general information about the information society, information systems, an explanation of the ERP information system, the development in general and methodology of development information systems. Second, the practical part describes: how the information system was developed in practice, exactly in the DataCentrum systems & consulting, a.s. company. This thesis describes not only the procedure of programming, but also all related activities such as: the analysis of entry requirements, used development methods, the development team and the tools used during development and testing. As a result, this thesis shows the developed information system and evaluates the whole project with recommendations for improvement.

Methodology of Innovative Software Product Development

This thesis deals with the domain of software product methodologies in the context of innovation. In the opening part of the thesis the field of innovation and creativity is analysed. In the next chapter the reasons justifying the necessity to create a methodology for innovative software product development are given. The main intention of this thesis was to create a new methodology of innovative software product development; so the next section focuses on this goal. The new methodology relies on current agile software development methodologies, best practices in innovation management and approaches to startup creation. Based on these principles, the requirements are set up and individual components selected that will form the new methodology. A model of the new methodology was created using tool Eclipse Process Framework. Consequently the methodology was validated by its prospective users.

The objectives of this bachelor thesis are understandable and clear description of OpenUP methodic and cross-references in chapters between method contents. It is used the way to study all expert resources especially the methodic to fulfilling them. The main contribution of this thesis is understandable a clearly described OpenUP in Czech language and cross-references between method contents. These references are also listed collectively in attachments. The reader is introduced to OpenUP (what is its structure, what it offers) at beginning of reading and then is detailed the lifecycle, practices and roles with great accent to cross-references.
