Hardness testing of metallic materials
Dufková, Hana ; Věchet, Stanislav (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to define and describe the hardness of material, possibilities of its testing, including the history and development of individual tests of hardness. The practical part of this work consists of the application of some of these tests on selected samples, including the evaluation of the results.
Design of surface texturing experimental rig
Bouma, Adam ; Svoboda, Petr (referee) ; Šamánek, Otakar (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is mechanical indenter design, mainly two basic parts of this apparatus. The introductory section describes the basic techniques of mechanical surface texturing of engineering surfaces. The second part deals with the particular design of the device. It also describes the strength control of loaded components. The economic evaluation is given at the end.
Hardness measurement of metal materials
Trčka, Tomáš ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The hardness is the mechanical property of each metal material that affects his behaviour. There are many methods of measurement. Each method has its advantages, shortcomings and possibilities of use. The best known tests are according to Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell. The newer methods with portable hardness tester are UCI, TIV and the dynamic method by Leeb. The tests are carried out by mechanical pressure load using the impact body (indenter) of the harder material than the test material. The experimental measurement was executed on the three types of cutting inserts with different nominal hardness made from cemented carbides using the Vickers method with the load of 10 kp and 30 kp. The highest value of hardness was measured on the cutting insert SMG02 - 1988 HV10.
Test hardness and application on the conditions of engineering company.
Černohousová, Pavla ; Madaj, Martin (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is in the first part theoretical part clearly describe the development, types and basic principles of hardness tests. The practical part consists of some of these tests applied to the collected samples. The results are then processed and evaluated.
Hardness measurement
Tušla, Jan ; Šlais, Miroslav (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
Hardness is one of the most important properties of materials. For measurement and evaluation of hardness exist a number of methods. Each has its own rationale, applicability, advantages and disadvantages. The most frequently used tests of measuring hardness are indentation methods (Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell, Knoop), rebound methods (Leeb) and scratch methods (Martens).
Měření tvrdosti plastů
Brunclík, Štěpán
This diploma thesis deals with the hardness measurement of plastics. Thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part deals with an overview of existing research findings in the field of hardness measurement of plastics. This part of the work is devoted to the description of principles and procedures, used indenters, sizes of test loads and evaluation of individual test methods. The second part deals with the measurement of the hardness of the test specimens for the selected plastic materials and the comparison with the hardness values declared by the manufacturer. The third part is focused on the suitability of the used methods for measuring the hardness of selected materials. The last part deals with the possible differences in the measured and manufacturer declared values of hardness of plastic materials.
