The Use of gamification in the Field of In-store Marketing Communication

This thesis focuses on the use of gamification in in-store marketing communication. Gamification, as a phenomenon of implementing game mechanics and principles in a non- gaming environment, is currently one of the fastest growing trends in marketing and is used across its different fields. This thesis focuses on the direct application of gamification and game mechanics at the point of sale, where it has the potential to engage customers, establish relationships and thus help brands to meet their marketing goals. The aim of the first part is to define the terms needed, define gamification itself as a part of game theories and game context. Also, to collect scientific data, researches and available information on gamification as an in- store marketing tool, which will be used as a basis to construct a strategy for proper implementation of gamification at the point of sale. The second part of the thesis serves several case studies, mapping implementation of gamification at the point of sale, which are subsequently evaluated on the basis of concepts and criteria defined in the first part of the thesis.
Point of sale as one of the crucial factors of purchase

This bachelor thesis has the aim to analyse in store activities of hypermarket Albert while closely focusing on POP materials and shopper atmosphere. Theoretical part explains the term as in-store communication, shopper marketing and sense marketing. Here we can find closely described POP materials used in retail units according to the individual types. In practical part we can find thorough analysis of chosen retail unit according to selected criteria in the practical part. At the end I provide evaulation with proposal for the improvements.
Analyzing the biscuits market at in-store area

The main aims of this diploma thesis were to analyze the biscuits market at in-store area and to give some recommendations to Kraft Foods company, how to communicate in this media type in future. The diploma thesis consists of theoretical and methodological part and practical part. In the theoretical and methodological part, there are described terms related to the market, analysis of the market, customers' behaviour - its types, process and influencing factors. Also in this part the in-store communication, the subject, process and methods of marketing research are explained. The practical part is based on the theoretical and methodological part. It includes information about the biscuits market, Kraft Foods company, their competitors and customers. The Nielsen, Admosphere, MML, U&A data analyzes and author's own research, were realized and their results are summarized in this part. Author's own research was done by monitoring in-store areas in 6 hypermarkets and supermarkets. The results of all analyzes and of author's own research are summarized in the chapter Conclusion. Also the recommendations for Kraft Foods company are to be found there.
OOH advertising in Czech republic

The aim of my diploma thesis was to present a comprehensive view of OOH advertising in Czech republic, assess the current situation and outline the direction in which this form of advertising has great potential for further development and which way could this form of advertising lead, especially if we consider innovative technologies within the in-store advertising. The theoretical and methodological part defines OOH advertising within the marketing mix and marketing communication, mentiones its history, advantages and disadvantages, divides OOH formats according to location and use. I focused on the principles of creation OOH advertising, legislation that regulates this form of advertising, I have devoted the measurement of indoor and outdoor advertising, and described the process of planning OOH advertisement. Then I descrived the current situation in the Czech market, new trends OOH communication,which I followed in the practical part. The practical part is based on the theoretical part. It includes information about the company UGO! Media, its materials and products that can be used for in-store advertising. I also mention implemented campaigns and research that was related to the efficiency of the basic material UGO! Media and eventually devote my one research, which relates to the use of products offered by UGO! in a concrete point of sale. The conclusion sums up all the important parameters learned from the research, provides recommendation for further use UGO! product sales in a given location and general evaluation of potential in the use of new technologies in-store advertising.
