Hotspot system for more network operators
Strmiska, Roman ; Pust, Radim (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with the design and realization of a hotspot system for more Operators, it solves problems of QoS, billing of transferred data and distribution of services via a common wireless interface. The theoretic part is oriented to the selection of a suitable technology and explanation of a legislation, which relates to an activity of the hotspot‘s network. The practical part solves the choice of hardware, design and realization of the experimental network. In conclusion are tested transit parameters of the network and its functionality.
JamVM Virtual Machine on the ARM Architecture
Pobořil, Filip ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
This thesis describes and compares two Java virtual machines on the ARM architecture, namely JamVM and HotSpot on Raspberry Pi. First part of this thesis describes Java and virtual machine principle. Next part focuses on both virtual machines, describes their features and methods of interpretation. Last part describes web application, which was used to compare both virtual machines, and evaluation of results.
A Comparison of CACAO Virtual Machine and HotSpot JVM
Malík, Nikolaj ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is introduction of Java platform and two chosen representants of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) implementations. At first JVM HotSpot as widespread one and on the other side JVM CACAO as an alternative option. This thesis describes implementation of chosen areas of both machines. It provides useful information for everybody who deals with runtime program optimalization. Final part presents benchmark results of the match between abovementioned machines by memory and time complexity.
Solution of the authentification and authorization for wireless local networks
Čížek, Michal ; Pust, Radim (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
This thesis is about available priciples and methods of authentication and authorization in wireless local area networks. First part is about available methods of authentication with short description each of them and usage analysis for small and middle-sized wireless networks. There is a project of authentication and authorization for school wireless network of three access points in the second part of the thesis, including description of Mikrotik RouterOS configuration and FreeRadius configuration. In the end of the thesis there is a project tests and usage analysis.
Evolution of endemism of mountain animal species
Švihálková, Tereza ; Munclinger, Pavel (advisor) ; Hořák, David (referee)
The mountain islands, isolated habitats surrounded by a distinct lowland environment, are home to a variety of endemic animal species. These hot-spots of biodiversity and endemism can be found mainly in tropical areas. Thus, the occurrence of endemics partially corresponds to the general macro-ecological rules of biogeography. For a more specific explanation of the origin and evolution of mountain animal species, we usually proceed from two theories - vicariate and dispersion. The validity of these theories varies in relation to taxon, locality, and evolutionary past, so it is difficult to generalize them globally. This bachelor thesis summarizes the prerequisites for the occurrence of endemic species and knowledge from some world- important mountain localities with a large number of endemic animals.
Genes of early meiotic prophase I of spermatogenesis in house mouse
Škaloudová, Eliška ; Trachtulec, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Forman, Martin (referee)
Meiosis is an essential cellular process that is necessary for gamete formation in all sexually reproducing organisms. This work is focused on the description of the genes of early stages of meiotic division in males of a mammalian model, the house mouse. The first part summarizes meiosis focusing on prophase I, which is longer than prophase II. Prophase I is divided into five stages, namely leptotene, zygotene, pachytene, diplotene, and diakinesis. Mouse spermatogenesis and its differences from oogenesis are also briefly described. The second part provides a list of genes encoding proteins required for initiation of meiotic division, pairing and synapses of chromosomes, and initiation of the catalysis of double-strand breaks. Double-strand breaks are repaired by homologous recombination, which may result in so-called crossing-over, the major source of genetic variability. The work deals with the early stage of homologous recombination and components required for this process. Localization of meiotic double-strand breaks in the genome is not random and is under the control of the Prdm9 gene, which seems to take multiple roles, such as the formation of new subspecies of the house mouse. Knowledge of the genes controlling the early stages of meiotic division is a prerequisite to understanding some of...
