Roof structure of construction for social purposes
Bašista, Ján ; Melcher, Jindřich (referee) ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The work treats the static recalculation of an existing roof structure of a construction for social purposes and proposes two variants of the design of a new roof structure. The construction has a rectangular ground plan of 30 m x 47 m and the roof structure is placed on the load bearing circumference concrete walls. Except for the load constituted by the function of the construction and by the climatic area, an extra load of 2 tons suspended at any place of the structure is considered because of the special requirement of working and technological equipment. The variant no. 1 is designed from the steel S355. The variant no. 2 is designed as a combination of the wood GL24h and the aluminium EN-AW 5083. Both of the variants have 11 transverse load bearing girders. The purlins are perpendicular to the girders and are placed on them. Stiffness is secured by roof stiffeners.
Concept of an In-line Spark-ignition Engine
Kočvara, Antonín ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with comparison of straight four-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 1,5 litres and its three-cylinder alternative, which is based on a four-cylinder. The thesis starts with a research, where are examples of some currently manufactured engines. The research is followed by design of both engines, where the design of the crank mechanisms is made more in detail. After that, both crank mechanisms are subjected to dynamic analysis using FEM and MBS methods. The thesis ends with comparison of both engines in terms of crankshaft load, mass and dimensions.
Influence of trailers load on driving properties of train
Pečová, Monika ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the behavior combination of vehicles, especially the semitrailer type when empty and loaded. In addition to the basic design differences of vehicle combinations this work presents the effects of crosswinds, tire properties and the importance of the center of gravity of the system and choice of axle type for directional dynamics.
Student Formula Arrangement Design
Niesner, Martin ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The rules and specifications of competition Formula Student are the main guidelines at frame design of students' formula. This diploma work discusses frame safety and structural requirements and also requirements on mounting of engine, single axles, rear-axle differential, engine intake and exhaust system, fuel tank, control elements, and so on. In the final parts of this diploma work analysis of maximum state of stress in material of on-load frame is made and total frame torsional rigidity is calculated. Total frame torsional rigidity is compared with those of Formula Ford and with other variants of Formula Student.
Optimization of an aircraft wing rib
Kopřiva, Lubomír ; Suchánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Petruška, Jindřich (advisor)
Topology optimization is a method providing new direction in designing of a technical objects. The aim of topology optimization is to find optimal distribution of material in design space. This diploma thesis is focused on optimization of aircraft wing rib num.6 of the airplane EV-55 using a software HW/Optistruct 7.0 implemented in a software package HyperWorks 7.0. The optimization of the rib was calculated under four different load cases. Resulting shapes of the rib were then tested by strenght calculations in software ANSYS 10.0. Finally, the obtained data of weights of optimized ribs were compared with the weight of the original rib.
Design of a railway bridge with an extremely compressed construction height according to MVL 115
Svoboda, Petr ; Šoukalová, Gabriela (referee) ; Kožik, Libor (advisor)
The aim of the thesis was a static and economic comparison of three variants of railway steel bridges with extremely compressed construction height according to the Bridge Model List (MVL) 115. A 3D model was created in RFEM for all variants. The bridge alternatives were evaluated for permanent loads, loads from rail traffic, and other significant loads. The option that came out best in terms of cost was then reassessed in more detail as part of a separate structural calculation.
Batteries for independent traction
Hladiš, Vítězslav ; Klíma, Bohumil (referee) ; Procházka, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this work is a review of literature of all types of batteries designed for driving in an independent traction (transport). The various types of batteries with them and compare based on their parameters (weight, cost, energy density / kg) to select the appropriate type of battery to drive electric cars, wheelchairs, electric bikes and scooters. The thesis is not a practical product or supplement. This is only a theoretical analysis of the issue.
Analytical Design Optimization of a Structure
Šubíková, Magdaléna ; Vlk, Zbyněk (referee) ; Hokeš, Filip (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with an analytical optimization of the construction design. Designed structure was inspired by a steel structure of the Bernard lookout tower. The analytical optimization was performed on a partial model of the structure and static analysis was obtained using the direct stiffness method. Two models for optimization were created in Scie Engineer 20.0 – one partial, the other complete. The impact of the optimization on the mass and cost of the structure was assessed.
Aircraft Piston Engines
Nepraš, Ondřej ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the overview of aircraft piston engines. Attention is devoted to known, nontraditional or other interesting construction types of aircraft piston engines largely from period of Second World War. This paper looks at the historical development of aircraft engines and propellers, and is followed by a detailed description of the piston engine design. The detailed description will form the main focus of the thesis. This will cover the main requirements and differences of aircraft piston engines types. Particular engines were selected, described and technical data was given.
Kibble balance
Tomanec, Jakub ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis consists of three sections. The first section explains the revision of the international system of units (SI), which took place in 2018 at the 26th General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM). The second section explains the concept of Kibble balance and introduces some of the created projects. The third section of the work was the creation of a prototype Kibble balance, evaluation of measured data and design of future modifications of the prototype.
