Materials for Historical Building Plaster Renovations
Kolouchová, Eliška ; Bayer, Patrik (referee) ; Rovnaníková, Pavla (advisor)
Main goal of this bachelor´s thesis is to create an overview of range of products for historical building plaster renovations. Furthermore, this thesis presents the development of plaster and mortar creation in the Czech Republic, historical plaster materials and technologies and historic building renewal.
Preparation of hystorical geopolymers
Šrámková, Eva ; Šoukal, František (referee) ; Havlica, Jaromír (advisor)
Diploma thesis studies historical bonding agents on the base of geopolymers. The aim of the thesis is to find a proper material composition, especially made of natural clay materials (kaolinite, bentinite) and their modifications (metakaoline). These bonding agents have to have a suitable type of an activator that guarantees good bonding properties. Therefore testing of various kinds of alkaline activating ingredients on the same mineral composition was done. Except of usual hydroxides and a water glass, ancient natrons (mixtures of alkaline carbonate with addition of appropriate chlorides) and a lime mash were used as the activators. From the above mentioned mixtures, series of samples (columns 20 x 20 x 100 mm) stored at the laboratory temperature were prepared. In the prepared mashes, their workableness and moulding were investigated. In the developed samples, their surface appearance was observed together with a number of efflorescence and its types. An indivisible part of the research was formed by determination of mechanical properties of the experimental columns such as a compressive strength and a tensile strength in bending. Furthermore, phase composition of the samples and its changes with a temperature increase were investigated. For these tests, XRD and TG – DTA methods were used. A multi-seat isoperbolic calorimeter was used to study hydratation that was also the important part of the general evaluation of designed mixtures.
Investigation of the properties of lime mortars for the renovation of historical building plasters
Kolouchová, Eliška ; Čihalík, Martin (referee) ; Rovnaníková, Pavla (advisor)
The theoretic part of this diploma thesis interprets historical procedures of lime mortar manufacturing and modern options for the historical lime plaster renovation. The experimental part of this diploma thesis aims for the comparison of physical-mechanic characteristic of lime mortar manufactured with different kinds of lime. The main goal is verifying of positive influence of using the aged lime mortar on its physical-mechanic characteristics.
Hluk city center: rescue of the Liechtenstein court
Bartoš, Roman ; Wahla, Ivan (referee) ; Kiszka, Josef (advisor)
A renewal of a historical farmyard in a small-town envirinment. Thesis deals with the issue of reconnecting a deserted structure to the town. The study approaches given problematics from urban, architectural and engineering standpoint.
Využití laserového skenování k dokumentaci současného stavu dřevěné zvonice
Němec, František
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of laser scanning technology to document historical buildings. Its aim is to create a 3D model, floor plans and vertical sections for the needs of the National Heritage Institute and the township of Knínice. The thesis describes the procedure for using laser scanning, all the necessary tasks that must be performed before the actual scanning, as well as the method of subsequent processing of the scanned data and creating the model in the software chosen for this purpose. The result of the work is a digital 3D model of a wooden belfry, floor plans and vertical sections showing the position of individual elements in the structure and a technical description of the object. These results can be used for archiving this historical cultural monument, its possible future reconstruction or even restoration.

Documentation of the historical buildings for hops processing: thematic survey of hop dryers
Podroužek, Kamil ; Eismann, Šimon ; Horák, Jan ; Kaláb, Jiří ; Papoušek, Miroslav ; Kuprová, Renata ; Radová, Lucie ; Skalický, David ; Švec, Roman
The main focus of this project NAKI DG16P02B021 Documentation of the historical buildings for hops processing was to perform a basic documentation of the historical buildings for hops processing. These buildings are part of architectual assets bound to the specific natural conditions occuring only in some regions. These conditions constitute an important part of the urbanism of towns and cultural countriside. There has not been given any scientific attention to the development, function, constructions or the technological equipment used on these buildings. In addition, these buildings (except several) are not historically protected. With respect to size, these buildings are of a great financial burden to their owners and have lately been subject to a large scale of demolition. Out of more than 5500 of these buildings listed in the beginning of the 20th century in Zatec hops region itself only hundreds have been preserved. Hence, the documentation is the last possibility of recording these buildings for the future. As part of the basic documentation of the buildings, undoubtful identification, photo-documentation, the documentation of the specific contruction solutions, technological equipment and technological state of proving the hops processing, the land surveying, the construction measurements and sample collection for dendro-chronical dating of selected buildings was performed. The archive research was part of the study as well. Based on this evidence a special map and IISPP/GIS NPÚ based database was created. A highly easy-to-use system was created using sophisticated technology - phones with cameras and GPS modules, tablet PCs, remote network access to the external scanned document storage and remotely accessible GIS and MIS map databases. This system enables operational field documentation and based on this experience a methodology was created that describes the use of this widlely available technology in basic field architectural documentation.
