Drug policy in Czech Republic

Thesis is focused on drug system development in Czech Republic during years 2000 to 2008, on study of present circumstances and on key features comparison with its development in selected European countries. Author has described drug system functioning, its participants and relations among them set to Czech Republic. Attention is paid especially to sources of rise in prices of drugs and to growth in consumption, then to safety and awareness of current medication. Factors effecting total expenses on drugs are investigated and participation of total expenses on drugs on total health expenses is analyzed. Due to the international comparison there is pronounced conviction that the increase in drug expenses has become a global phenomenon of todays which is to be solved. Great emphasis is placed on questionable segments of drug policy in Czech Republic and on potentials of its improvements in this performance, too.

Food insecurity in developing countries

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to point out that the battle against hunger can be won in our lifetime. However, this problem can not be solved without concerning all connections between undernutrition and other global problems. This thesis contains an analysis of various aspects of health, education, population growth, agriculture or trade which are strongly related to poor nutritional status. The technology, knowledge and resources exist to meet the needs of hungry. As it was revealed in my study, they should not been implemented unless they respect mutual links between different problems.

Goal of this bachelo's work is to make the financial analysis of company BIZETT CZ, s.r.o., to explore financial health from 2003 to 2008. Analysis is provided by horizontal, vertical analysis, by indicators of liquidity, profitability, by indicators of financial health and by indicators of value. In conclusion, I summarize important answers.

Practical aplication of diet problem

I have decided to try solve the question if it is possible to eat healthy at McDonald's fast-foods. I will try to do this with my skills and knowledge of linear programming. I will try to find optimal solution by minimalizing total cost of food. If I don't find the solution, I will try to answer "Why?"

The Health Care Reform ČR - What are their pros and cons?

My bachelor thesis is concerned with health care system of the Czech Republic. At the begining of this work, there is a short round up of elementary economic terms and problems, connected with providing health services. Second part is focused on the situation of health care system in the Czech Republic. It is concerned with its functioning, its contemporary situation, and its contemporary problems. Third part describes individual steps taken and specificities of the Czech reform conception of health care system and compares them with certain foreign experience. The thesis is, in its prevailing form, composed instrumentally, in order to form a wiew about potential impact of health care reform.

Analýza determinant zdraví ve vztahu ke zdravotní politice

Záměrem této práce je analyzovat vliv determinant zdraví na jeho zástupnou proměnou střední délku života. Na datech získaných z Českého statistického úřadu a z Ústavu zdravotnických informací a statistiky ČR jsem provedla vícenásobnou regresní analýzu, jejímž výsledkem bylo určeno, které determinanty z vybraných proměnných v modelu jsou relevantní a které ne. Jako nejvýznamnější se ukázaly čtyři determinanty: počet obyvatel na jednu lékárnu, podíl městského obyvatelstva, náklady nemocnic na jednoho obyvatele, hrubá míra rozvodovosti.
