Media stereotypization and labeling of people with a disability in Czech media and its impact on the audience

Abstract The presented master thesis deals with the topic of stereotypical presentations of disabled people in Czech newspapers and with its impact on the audience. This topic build on previous findings regarding repetitive stereotypical images and frames of disabled which were not only studied on newspapers. Simultaneously with those reoccurring frames and images we can also find positive of negative labels which are used in connection with disabled in newspapers. The work examines whether these phenomena occur also in Czech online and printed news. Using qualitative content analysis phenomena mentioned above were searched in randomly selected one hundred news. Requirement for choosing articles to selection was that the articles content need to be whole about handicapped people. Precisely, based on previous literature the text were analyzed and it was searched for narrative frames or models, stereotypical frames and labels that could be presented in texts. Chodící lidé campaign 2011-2013 with focus on teaser campaign elements

Bachelor thesis Chodící lidé campaign 2011− 2013 with focus on teaser campaign elements analyses the communication of the two first phases of this campaign. The first theoretical part deals with the specifics of a teaser campaign. Furthermore it follows-up theoretical issues of the disabled people, naming issue, stereotyping and particular stereotypes towards handicapped. Next part is devoted to the first and the second phase of the campaign Chodící lidé itself, contracting authority, project funding, target group, timing and specific communication activities and its goals. The last part of the thesis is quantitative research which evaluates familiarity with the campaign and changes in attitudes towards disabled people through the analysis of data from post-tests for each phase of the campaign. The conclusion contains possible recommendation for the future based on the research and my studies of marketing communication.
Inclusion in the field of preschool education in the Czech Republic in 2015

The bachelor thesis pursues the inclusion in the field of preschool education in the Czech Republic and its impacts on children with special educational needs as well as on children without special educational needs. The theoretical part is focused on the development of special pedagogy, the definition of the terms of integration and inclusion, the opinions of experts on inclusion, and the legislative and financial support of inclusion from the state. In addition, the possibilities of the integration for disabled children are described in this part. In the practical part the analysis of the questionnaire survey is performed which leads to the conclusion that inclusion has rather positive impacts on children in preschool education provided that there are suitable conditions for inclusion. Nowadays there is still a demand for services of special nursery schools despite mostly positive attitudes to the trend of inclusive education.
Problems of creating e-learning courses for handicapped

The thesis discusses the problems of e-learning for handicapped. It concerns creation of electronic courses for visually and hearing-impaired students. The main target is to create and publish a sample course for this groups of students. The course shows practical employment of methods and recommendations for creating study materials easily accessible for handicapped. Those methods and recommendations are described in the theoretical part of the thesis. The creation and publication of the sample course is completely carried out using freely available software applications and services. The operating procedure, advantages and limits of this approach are described as well as further possible development of the courses for handicapped. The thesis could then serve as one of the first theoretical and practical handbook for creating this type of courses. The first part sketches out the specifics of visually and hearing-impaired and various types of teaching these handicapped. In the second part of the thesis the rules and recommendations for a correct creation of an e-learning course for handicapped are explained. Principally the technical rules but also some pedagogical suggestions are focused. The last part of the thesis shows the method of creating an e-learning course for handicapped in the e-learning system Moodle using freely available audio-visual applications and publication services.

Práce se zabývá postavením handicapovaných pracovníků v českých podnicích. První část se věnuje teorii - legislativa, vzdělávání, možnosti pracovního uplatnění. Druhá část je aplikační - zabývá se hodnocením výsledků dotazníků pro osoby se zdravotním postižením a firmy zaměstnávající osoby se zdravotním postižením.
