Animal as a child's therapist

This thesis is focused on upgrading of an existing education plan in specifically a classroom for children with special educational needs. The aim is to familiarize the reader with animotherapy as a full-fledged therapy and demonstrate its impact in practice in preschool children with an individual approach. This thesis will describe animotherapy based on theoretical and practical aspects. The focus will be mainly on the approaches, methods and resulting effects of animotherapists when working with children with a special educational program. The first chapter of the theoretical part is focused on clarifying key concepts in preschool children. It describes the structure and the dynamics of personality theory of attachment and psychosocial as well as emotional development of preschool children. The second part describes the format of animotherapy mainly focusing on canine therapy and hippotherapy. The methodological section contains qualitative research strategy, introduces readers to the characteristics of class and education program including the organization and conditions for education in our kindergarten. The practical part is focused on finding specific approaches and methods of animotherapists. I conducted semi-structured interviews with therapists, children and their parents. They also describe the activities of Direct Group, frontal and individual animotherapy. The conclusion, summarizes what methods used in this therapy are desirable and process of development of children in full-year inclusion using this unique method.

The fujara and the shakuhachi

Ve své bakalářské práci srovnávám dva hudební nástroje, japonskou flétnu šakuhači a slovenskou fujaru. Oba nástroje hrají významnou roli pro stavbu identity jejich hráčů a jsou znakem mužského genderu. Toto je v práci prokázáno skrze rozbor jejich současných i historických sociálně kulturních kontextů.
Zatímco společenský kontext flétny šakuhači postupně vedl k vytvoření eroticko-sexuálních konotací, které se v běžné japonské vizuální i verbální komunikaci stali primárním významem slova "šakuhači", u fujary jsou tyto konotace pouze sekundární. Naopak fujara se jako endemický slovenský hudební nástroj stala důležitým symbolem slovenského národního diskurzu a uvědomění. Kdežto šakuhači není v současné době využívána jako proponent nacionalistických tendencí v japonské společnosti.
Práce sleduje různé estetické a kulturní mechanizmy, které, byť podobné, vedly k rozdílným významům obou nástrojů v jejich "domácích" společnostech.

Bachelor thesis is oriented to explore the collective work of director Eric Rohmer, specifically the season in which author starts to create film period - Moral Stories.
Presented thesis describes information about author, French new wave, however attention is aimed on form and structure of Moral Stories. Film The Collector together with analysis of woman character - Haydée are the main link of the work on deal with the gender issue, exploration and analysis of woman component in Rohmer´s film The Collector are supplemented by feministic film theory.

Trans narrative

In my thesis I compare various trans* representations in fiction films, documentary films, TV series and video journals on the internet. I assume, that projections of trans* people differ in stories they tell, depending on media in which they are constructed. Most of the visible trans* stories in media are "being reborn to the right body testimonies (in opposition to the wrong body given at birth)". This is connected to the legislative rules one must follow if he/she wants to have his/her gender reassigned. Trans* activists in global context take steps closer to legislative changes that lead to bigger tolerance and freedom of gender expression. In analysis of characters of seven fiction films, three TV series, four documentaries, one reality show and work of three trans* video bloggers, I demonstrate, that the representation of trans* identities in mainstream media space is reductive and works within strict rules. These rules relate to pathological default setting of the trans* status. On the other hand, the more authentic the material is, the wider variety of stories we see..

Divorce proceeding for children in the context of gender arrangements in families

In the theoretical part of this work I will explain the basic concepts: the role of women and men in the family, their functions in the formation of gender identity of the children, the effects of divorce disputes in terms of economic, social and mental impact of gender on the children in post-divorce custody. In the empirical part of work I will do research using qualitative methodology. I will also use a semi-standardized interview for data collection and observation as an additional method. I will work with a target group of divorced parents who experienced disputes where the custody of the child was awarded to one of the parents. I will conduct interviews with respondents who live in a small town of up to 50,000 inhabitants. I will be choosing interviewees bearing in mind that the questions will be of a personal and sensitive nature. The first respondents will be selected with and an aim in mind. Then I will proceed using a "snowball technique" in the respondents´ natural environment. All interviews will be carried out in the strictest confidentiality. The result of the qualitative survey of this work will be an in-depth description of the investigated topic "The consequences of divorce disputes for children in the context of gender arrangements in families ," or the hypothesis. In addition, conclusions will be reached on how with hindsight parents should have resolved conflicts to maintain a functional relationship between the child and the other parent.

The societal perception of male kindergarten teachers

My bachelor's thesis deals with the society´s perception of male nursery school teachers. It is divided into two parts theoretic and empiric. The theoretic part contains historical relations between establishment of nursery schools and presence of male teachers there within Czech countries. Statistical data of presence male teachers in education are involved, particularly in contemporary preschool education. The results of quantitative research are shown in the empiric part that is aimed to discover the society´s perception of male nursery school teachers. The reason for lack of male preschool teachers is analysed as well as the perception of the benefits of male teaching preschool children and the influence men have on concept of early childhood education.

Gender differences in toy and game preference among kindergarten - age children

This bachelor thesis deals with gender differences in preschool children, particularly in the selection of games, toys, and choosing a partner for the game. It also surveys the current trend of games and also which games are typical for children of the opposite gender and what they prefer. The theoretical section explains the development ogender identity in the preschool years and engages in the game and toy from the perspective of gender. The concluding theoretical section summarizes the opinion for the most convenient education, which enables the child to try a game and activities ascribed to the opposite gender. The practical section charts the results from observing children in three differing age classes in preschools. It fills in and compares the results of the questionnaire, intended for teachers of preschools and parents of preschoolers. Interviewing children reveals what kind of opinion children have on playing a game with toys typical for the opposite sex. The final summary outlines the differences of girls and boys in relation to the game.

Gender issue in police armedforces

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the Gender issue in the armed police forces. I focused on the differences in the position of men and women working for the Police ČR which could affect career of the policewomen. I also pick the gender stereotypes which predetermine the women for certain posts and tasks. Result of my work is the review of the questionnaire and the suggested solution which should lead women to posts, not yet, fully occupied by them. The theoretical part of my thesis defines terms as: gender, gender stereotypes, the characteristic of labor relations, principles of equal treatment and non discrimination.The main part contains the status of women in labor relations and the special position of pregnant women , nursing women and mothers within nine months after child delivery in labor law in selected institutions. The bachelor´s thesis is based on the current legislation of women position in labor relations and reflects the legal situation valid till 1.9.2013.

Qualitative research games of childen in the kindergarten

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the topic of children's games in the kindergarten. Objective of the thesis was to establish what games and toys are used by the children in the kindergarten, how the children communicate when playing and what emotions the children express. The theoretical part contains the development theories concerning the preschool age focused mainly on cognitive development and on development of the gender identity. The thesis also discusses socialization of the child and method of its communication. In conclusion of the theoretical part the attention is paid to emotions, mainly to the theories of emotions and to the emotional intelligence. The methodological part summarizes the research methods applied in the thesis, namely: qualitative research, grounded theory, coding, observation and semi-structured interview. The practical part familiarizes with results and outcomes of observation of children when playing in the kindergarten.

Different positions and roles of men and women in society

The Bachelor thesis deals, as its name suggests, with the diferent roles of men and women in the society. The theoretical part of this work is thematically focused on the diferences of the individual sex and the problems of the gender roles, along with the disorders of gender. This part also deals with diferent roles of men and women in the labour market. These diferences are described as diferences of average wages, jobs, profesional development and segragation of work. The practical part of the Bachelor thesis includes own research conisting of opinion of the society on the selected questions relating to problems of gender. The technique of an questionnaire was used to obtain the data. The obtained data were analysed later on and aranged into tables and graphs.
