Determination of the functional volumes of the reservoir considering input data uncertainties
Paseka, Stanislav ; Doležal, Petr (referee) ; Szolgay,, Ján (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
Damaging changes and interventions in the water cycle in our landscape caused mainly in the last century together with uncertainties from climate change are the cause of more frequent occurrences of hydrological extremes. In Hydrology, the most urgent problem is that the values of the long-term mean flows are decreasing in rivers as well as the yield of groundwater sources, but on the other hand, we cannot forget to the problem of extreme floods. In these consequences developing methods and tools to uncertainty analysis of the reservoir yield and of the reservoir flood protection is very important, useful and desired. The main aim was to determine the functional volumes of the reservoir considering input data measurement uncertainties and to quantify them and was explained how uncertainty took into account in results. The active storage capacity was determined from the historical series of monthly flows that were affected by uncertainties, next were applied on water evaporation, seepage losses of the dam and morphological volume-area curves. The simulation-optimization reservoir model was developed and temporal reliability as reservoir yield performance measures was applied. This model will extend the existing UNCE_RESERVOIR software. The flood capacity was determined from random flood wave variations were obtained by repeatedly generating uncertainty on the flood hydrograph. Software was developed based on the modified Klemes method, which was able to transform flood waves. The measurement uncertainties of data inputs were created using Monte Carlo method in both softwares. By connecting two softwares, the functional volumes of the reservoir under conditions of measurement uncertainties were complexly determined. The case study was applied to the real water reservoir, in the Morava River Basin. The result will be whether the dam is resistant to the current conditions, or the optimal design of the functional volumes of reservoir under conditions uncertainties.
Safety Assesment of the Hostim Dam during Floods
Šilhánková, Lenka ; Hopjan, Pavel (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to evaluate and subsequently evaluate the current state VD Hostim in the conversion of KPV with parameters PV100. Processing takes place according to the requirements of ČSN 75 2935. The content of the work is a description and summary of the basic data on the water structure the documents and the resulting values, including descriptions of hydraulic calculations. Based on the results, remedial measures will be proposed to secure the waterworks. These measures will help ensure the safety and reliability of the water structure.
Safety Assesment of the Rouchovany Dam during Floods
Vrátil, Jan ; Jobánek, Stanislav (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the Rouchovany waterworks under the flood. Part of the check is the performance of check calculations and the assessment of the safe level in the tank. In the conclusion of the thesis there are proposed remedies of the current state of the Rouchovany waterworks.
Assessment of dam safety during the floods
Hala, Mario ; Jandora, Jan (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
The Diploma thesis deals with the safety assesment of the small water reservoir Bartošovice III during the floods, according to requirments of TNV 75 2935 (technical standard). First two chapters are devoted to the description of the dam purpose. Following chapter deals with the summary of basic information and documentation, including hydraulic analysis. In the following section maximum permissible safe water level is determined together with the maximum check flood water level in reservoir which reflects the flood wave transformation. In the final evaluation the comparison of the maximum permissible safe water level with maximum check flood level is carried out. At the end of the thesis recommendations leading to ensuring of reliability and safety of water reservoir are listed.
Safety assesment of dams during floods.
Valchař, Jiří ; Šimek, Richard (referee) ; Říha, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the safety assesment of the small water reservoir Bílovec during the floods, according to requirments of TNV 75 2935 (technical standard). First two chapters are devoted to description of the dam purpose. Following chapter deals with the summary of basic information and documentation, including hydraulic analysis. In the following section maximum permissible safe water level is determined together with the maximum check flood water level in reservoir which reflects the flood wave transformation. In the final evaluation the comparison between the maximum permissible safe water level and maximum check flood level is carried out. At the end of the thesis recommendations leading to ensuring of reliability and safety of water reservoir are listed.
Reconstruction of dam Ivanské jezero
Svatoš, Petr ; Beran, Ivan (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
Water structure Ivanské jezero was built on the Javorník Creek back between 1905-1907. The main purpose of the dam was accumulation of high volumes of water and protection of the territory downstream. After the adjustment for higher flows on the river Kněžna in Rychnov nad Kněžnou, which was completed in 1937, the water structure lost the protective function. On the basis of an assessment made by Povodí Labe in 1993 - due to the low volume of the reservoir there is no flood wave transformation and already while flow rates greater than Q50 pass through dam, it results in overflowing the dam. To this date water structure Ivanské jezero is in very poor condition due to degradation of the binding material in the dam. The goal of the thesis is to propose a procedure for removal of the existing structure and the subsequent construction of the design and construction of a new – gravity, concrete dam. This work will contain technological removal process of current dam and possible usage options for the dam material. In the next step a new structure will be designed in the place of existing dam. After new design is completed there will be hydraulic assessment of the functional objects, hydrology and stability on the dam.

Safety Assesment of the Ostrov nad Oslavou Dam during Floods
Holinka, Matouš ; Holomek, Petr (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis deals with the small water reservoir Ostrov nad Oslavou and its assessment with regard to the passage of the flood wave. Drawing takes place according to the requirements TNV 75 2935 (technical standard). In the first chapters we gradually describe the purpose of the water structure. In the following chapters we summarize the basic data, documents and values, including description of hydraulic calculations. Followed by analyzing of the maximum permissible safe water level and then setting of the maximum check flood water level in the reservoir as a result of transformation of the flood wave. In the final chapter there is a comparison of those two levels, their evaluation and recommendations. These measures are designed to ensure the safety and reliability of the water structure.
Safety Assesment of the Šišma Dam during Floods
Škrach, Mikuláš ; Jareš, Zbyněk (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
The aim of te bachelor‘s thesis is to evaluate the Šišma Dam during floods. The evaluation is done according to the requirements ČSN 75 2935. The result of the assessment is the evaluation of current condition of body of dam, bottom outlets and spillway and the subsequent proposals.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Matějková, Jana ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The first part of this thesis deals with the surface runoff and countermeasures. This allows us to control the hydrological conditions in the basin. Methods of protection against soil surface runoff are mentioned. A separate chapter is focused on dry retention tanks. Aim of the second part of the thesis is to design specific measures in the village of Otaslavice to prevent external area water from flooding the village. This issue has been dealt with for the whole basin . The Guidelines for very small basin runoff calculation was used to evaluate the runoff there, hydro technical solution was assessed and designed using the HEC-RAS 4.1.0 and AutoCAD 2013.
